Got to say, when/if DeSantis runs in 2028, he should not be afraid to answer a question, no matter what his advisors are telling him.  The deflections are totally obnoxious.  Biden somehow won the election without telling us whether he would pack the courts, but people lost respect for him when he refused to answer the debate question.

This is a big development for CNN, which for a long time look poised to have no GOP debates this cycle.

I absolutely agree. She's done nothing to help conservatism nor the GOP and doubtful that she's done anything to ensure a free and fair election in '24.

I admit I watched about 1/2 hr. of the debate. That was enough. DeSantis is the conservative though he IMO just doesn't seem comfortable debating. Vivek came on strong and made some valid points; saying J6 was in inside job took me by surprise. Haley is already bought and paid for by huge donors and is the establishment pick and out and out called DeSantis a liar - I believe she's the liar. Christie's stance on transgenderism I believe sunk him.

IF Trump somehow survives and escapes the felony charges against him he will be the nominee.  However, DeSantis is correct -- Trump's age and only being a one term president should get people's attention and unfortunately Trump supporters aren't taking that into consideration.

please it took Trump much less than 6 months to alienate so may people tell me again how Trump has put together a plan to curtail the government and cut insane spending? All Trump is pushing is revenge porn and more insane spending, compared to what DeSantis is getting done trump comes off as the inept rank amateur of government that he is, never knew how our government worked and never bothered to learn while in office or out.

That wasn't exactly the point of what he said -- age makes a difference and Trump would be about 80 heading into the presidency. At 80 who knows how aging will diminish him.

DeSantis has accomplished quite a lot for the state of FL and hasn't made a bunch of hot air promises that he's never fulfilled, unlike Trump.

I see that as a VERY strong positive. He is the ONLY candidate that can only serve one term,thus he won't by pussyfooting around because he is worried about re-election the day he gets sworn in.
