Former President Donald Trump's Iowa campaign has been blessed by faith pastors as over a hundred MAGA Republicans prayed over him for his victory.

Over 150 pastors and faith leaders came together in Cedar Rapids to 'pray' over Trump right before he went on stage today.

The prayer group leader was heard saying: 'The gates of hell shall not prevail against him. We are talking about this for him. Lord, I pray for protection for him; I pray for protection for his family.

'All the weapons that have been formed against him will not succeed, and lord, they will not come to anything, and the traps that have been set against him.'

One of the things that drove me bonkers at TOS was how many EverTrumper sycophants talked as serious Christians praising God and so forth and insisting Trump is Gods instrument.  Of course the argument was that God loved David despite his big flaws.  True, but David also very obviously paid homage to God.  Trump is NOT a religious person at all, which is obvious, but they pretend he is.  They cite his mention of God here or there, right after he mocks someone, or pix like this such as the black religious praying over him.  But you won’t hear of him going to church or talking about the Bible or even talking God off the cuff in an interview.

Something about that religious fervor over a man who doesn’t care about it that bugs me.

Foaming at the mouths? Objection to prayer? No. In looking at the picture and reading part of the article; is it a prayer for him or is it to worship him?  A prayer to idolize or worship him would be my objection @Right_in_Virginia

Quite an extreme @240B  I don't think Trump is 'satan' nor will I ever vote for Hill or Buttgig.  I do believe he has a narcissistic personality that would likely come close to him being a dictator and lead us into socialism.  Some of his recent comments do indicate that likelihood -- take a gander at his website -- he outlines his intentions.  Freedom cities are a prime example.

Also, the writer of these lyrics apparently thinks that "capitalism is Black man's hell"
but is also pointing out that Marxism is at least as evil,

It bugs me that most these folks just want a photo to do a "look at me" display, same as Trump's warehouses full of stuff he collects about himself. Want to pray for someone, then do it in private, but these look like people just wanting to be seen as Pharisees praying in public for everyone to see (which Jesus condemned as self centered). 

My criticism on this matter is not so much Trump, who just plays the faith game with minimum involvement, but the people that play the religion game with the focus on themselves instead of Jesus.  John the Baptist didn't have a problem with pointing out the king's flaws, and it cost him his head, today's Mega pastors play the "look at me" game more often than not.
