Sure not Trump.  The Fed Deficit ballooned under his watch, and now he is promising Freedom Cites, Baby Bonuses, and Flying Cars to boot.

Short answer....   That animal does not exist (yet) in this country

Welp, hopefully the people he hires are like that.

Oh! He or she exists for sure but there are too many boots on necks to allow their rise. Also too many on the dole as well.

Congratulations to the new Vice President of Argentina 🇦🇷 Vicky Villarruel: Catholic woman, patriot, pro-life, pro-family, anti Agenda 2030, with good values and very clear ideas.

I never thought I would see the day that I would look at Argentina with envy but here I am doing exactly that!

Well... they're in a lot deeper trouble than we are too. 133% inflation doesn't sound fun.

A quick little blurb from a search for "Milei policies".

Quote
Milei has pledged to “blow up” the political status quo, shutter the central bank, dollarise the economy and massively shrink the state – ideas that have resonated with many voters, especially young voters, after years of economic decline. A former small-time rock musician and athlete, Milei opposes abortion and supports gun rights.

The Perons took a sledgehammer to Argentina, and it's unclear what Milei can actually do without congressional support for systemic changes.  After the depression the country was taken by, if you please, "the siren song of populism."  Two shysters who promised the sun, the moon, and the stars with no means of delivering.  Eva mercifully succumbed to cancer (given to her by a philandering caudillo-husband) and Juan was deposed before he could turn the place into a total garbage heap.

Peron is called a populist but looking at his policies it's easy to see he was a garden variety leftard.

Senator Ted Cruz
@SenTedCruz
Congratulations to @JMilei on his becoming Argentina's next president.

This election was a decisive defeat for anti-American forces in the Western Hemisphere and beyond, and an enormous victory for the U.S.-Argentina relationship and for American interests.

I look forward to working with him on deepening the U.S.-Argentina relationship.

Milei is a very interesting man.  Tucker Carlson on Twitter did an excellent interview of Melei.  Well worth listening to.

After you listen to him, one wonders why we do not have a single politician in America that remotely sounds like him.  He is brilliant, as he proves with his many references as he speaks, something no American would do.

One of my neighbors spends most of his time living in Argentina, and he waved his hand about having 130% inflation, like it was nothing.  He indicated most of Argentina is on the big government teat.  Few work, and everyone is paid by the government.  That is the same thing that brought down the USSR.  I tell you, that socialist nonsense is nothing more than shared poverty and pure self destruction.

In listening to Milei, the whole time, you sit there saying to bad he can't run here, for he makes perfect sense with everything he says.

Thanks, but have kind of sworn off Carlson after he boarded the Tump Train.  I did remember his interview with Poland's president.  The press had demonized the guy so badly, I expected some kind of Right Wing gooosestepping zealot.  But no he was even keeled and sounded very reasonbable.

Which leads us to the root cause.  The world wide MSM has gone into collusion mode and purposely is trying to destroy any world leader right of center.

Clearly our system, which takes weeks to count, is better. /s

@Weird Tolkienish Figure

Well,the poll-watchers in OUR system CAN'T finish counting until they know how  many more votes they are going to need to insure a Dim victory.

Yep

This guy is promising to slash budgets and government agencies

Trump is promising more spending and growing the government

He also subscribes to the Austrian school of economics. Trump’s philosophy is Keynesian, similar to Obama’s

I’ve seen the media refer to him as the Argentina Donald Trump….no

He wants to replace the peso with the US dollar. How wise is that considering that we’re also printing and devaluing our own currency?

@LMAO

Well,he has to do something because the "national dollar" there is mostly useful as toilet paper.

NOT saying he WILL turn to the US dollar because I don't even know how such a thing would be possible,but "Item Number One" SHOULD be replacing his useless currency with  a currency that doesn't require  a wheelbarrow of it  to  buy a loaf of bread.

What we ALL know is that this won't happen  overnight,and it IS going to require the help of other free nations to  get them back on their feet. MOST of that help should be in the form of rebuilding their manufacturing so that people have jobs that pay,and that the state has outside money  flowing in from sales to other nations.

This begins with  people coming to  understand that this IS happening,even if it doesn't happen as quickly  as they  would like. It took generations to  put them in the economic position they are in now,and this isn't going to completely disappear  overnight. Or at all,if the other western nations don't all pitch in and give them a hand.

Which in the long run will help the western nations,too. After all,they can't sell THEIR goods to a nation that has no money to buy  them.
