But this is what you get when "equal protection" isn't applied equally. When tribal reserves are above the law, above any sort of oversight... the unscrupulous will seek to gain that advantage. It's easier to pull off when no one gives a damn, too. Once out of the Res, few white cops will spend much time looking for an Indian. Sad, but still true.
