Jackson said he is concerned that there are Congress members who support Hamas, are antisemitic, and attend classified briefings on the Israel-Hamas war. In a letter to the leadership of the U.S. House, Texas’ Representative Ronny Jackson (R) asked that his colleague, Democrat Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, be prohibited from receiving classified information.
According to Jackson’s letter to House Speaker Pro Tempore Patrick McHenry (R), and minority leader Hakeem Jeffries (D), Tlaib has “chosen to side with Hamas by spreading misinformation.”
When the conflict first began, Jackson said instead of joining the rest of the U.S., Tlaib refused to condemn Hamas’ horrific acts of war against Israeli civilians.
Jackson also stated that when videos and reports emerged of an explosion at a hospital in Gaza, Tlaib chose to spread misinformation accusing the Israeli Defense Forces of being responsible and harming civilians.
