Florida Governor and Republican presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis has now been tied for second place in the GOP race by Nikki Haley –  but while some in the GOP establishment and corporate media are hailing her as a “rising star” and urging DeSantis donors to defect to her, both are in single digits.

Donald Trump, on 59 percent, remains far ahead of his rivals, who are each on just eight percent, with Haley having gained five points, and DeSantis having lost four.

The problem is the pollsters are not asking the correct people.  Their sample is lousy with MAGA leg humpers.

According to those polls, the numbers just aren't there for any candidate other than Trump.  So, a year out from the election, everybody should just step down.     

I'd say anyone at this point in time who isn't polling above 5% should be out of the race -- BUT Trump isn't debating, so, let those in the GOP field continue to debate.  What's the harm??

Wow! Looks like Ron DeSanctimonious has fallen to 3rd place, and heading down, in his ridiculous run to be President. Destroying Social Security and Medicare hasn’t exactly helped him! In the important Emerson Poll, he’s dropped to 8%, 51 Points behind his favorite President, ME. Birdbrain, who may be even worse, is fighting it out with others for a very distant 2nd place. The last debate was the lowest rated debate in history. The next and probably last one, in Miami, will do even worse. Republicans should not debate, they should UNITE in defeating the WORST & MOST INCOMPETENT ADMINISTRATION IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

True,but the truth is nobody knows how the chips are going to fall until they are counted.

I am obviously a Trump supporter and his numbers look VERY good to me,but things like that can change as fast as an eye blink. Sometimes with what SEEMS like no discernible reason.

After all,would YOU have thought a senile old fool and crook would end up as President,and not even bother to try to cover up his family corruption. Hell,he even seems proud of it.

The Trump plan for Social Security, and Medicare is similar to the Democrat plan. Tax, borrow, and print. Somebody needs to explain to Donald what’s the term unfunded liabilities mean

Donald Trump left office with an economy in shambles, a debt level that further threatens  the economic well-being of the country, tariffs that put us into a trade war, and created  the basis for the inflation we are seeing today

Why would any conservative, or any sane person, vote for four more years of that?

In the escalating feud between Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley, the super PAC supporting the Florida governor is going up with a new ad portraying Haley as flip-flopping over aid to Palestinians in Gaza.

The social media ad, shared with POLITICO in advance of its release on Friday, comes hours after a pro-Haley PAC put out a spot mocking the Florida governor.

The ad wars punctuate a week of intensifying conflict between the GOP presidential candidates, who are drawing closer in early-state polls. For months, DeSantis held steady in second place, trailing Donald Trump but comfortably ahead of his other rivals.

But following a strong debate performance in August, Haley has inched up in the polls; she now leads DeSantis in New Hampshire and South Carolina, while he is ahead of her in Iowa.

Nikki Haley hits back at 'desperate' DeSantis amid Florida governor's presidential campaign

Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is reacting to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's presidential campaign after his recent stop in the Palmetto State.

DeSantis, who entered the presidential race in May, made a stop at Saltwater Cowboys in Mount Pleasant Friday morning for a meet and greet.

In a release, the Haley's team says DeSantis's campaign is "in freefall, plagued by terrible headlines, incompetence, staff firings, and too many reboots to count."

The release goes on to say that DeSantis's attacks on Haley are "desperate."

“Ron DeSantis’ campaign has been five months of one disaster after another,” Haley's campaign spokesman Ken Farnaso said. “Now, as his campaign takes its last breath, he’s lying about Nikki Haley’s record because he’s desperate. It’s not a good look. Voters are rallying behind Nikki Haley’s strength and toughness in the face of increasing threats across the world. They know she will make America strong and proud.”

Haley's team ended the release with saying DeSantis has a "Nikki Haley problem."

But there’s no question that Ron DeSantis’s campaign is struggling currently

And it’s too bad. Because Joe Biden and his democrat party are low hanging fruit. And yet GOP primary voters are ready to give them the gift of Donald Trump.

Trump endorsed candidates fell short in 2022 when the voters were unhappy with the condition of the country and Joe Biden. So it seems that voters by and large decided to put up with the condition of the country for a little while longer instead of handing MAGA candidates the reins of power
