Majority of hostages are alive: IDF

Most of the Israelis kidnapped by Hamas nearly two weeks ago are still alive, according to multiple reports sourcing the Israel Defense Forces.

The IDF said more than 20 of the hostages are younger than 18, and that 10 to 20 of them are older than 60.

An exact number of people who are being held captive in Gaza hasn't been confirmed, but is estimated at about 200.

This has been my concern since Day 1. Hamas was too well funded, trained, and coordinated, and unless Iran has gotten alot better at it there are bigger players here, which means this conflict may not be contained to Israel and the terrorists.

And that in my mind puts your scenario on the table of possibility.
