Maybe it's just time to abandon the GOP? Its overrated anyway.

The GOP as we knew it conservatively, has pretty much died.

They sure as heck have abandoned us.

The 'Quitters' are the ones who settle for Democrat-lite instead of keeping up the fight for smaller government.

$hit @sneakypete most people, at least Conservative people, saw what he did in 4 years and want to move on instead of giving him another 4 years to prove his worthlessness.  It's like asking the crazy 'X' back just cause you're horny, Big Mistake.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Geez...look around, @the OlLine Rebel    There's no REAL reason to abandon/challenge him when scanning the contenders.

Sure, there's no reason for those who prefer having a big government Democrat represent the GOP in 2024 instead of a Conservative.

I think I've finally figured this out.

You guys value personal charisma over principles/policy.  That's why you always talk about how the other candidates "look", and the size/fervor of the crowds, how "exciting" they are etc..  That's how you elevate Trump over everyone else.

All else -- including background, accomplishments, policies, principles, etc. -- being equal, of course it makes sense to choose the most charismatic candidate.  But all else isn't equal here, and you guys certainly haven't promoted Trump based on him having "better" policies than the others.  So you repeatedly default to charisma-type arguments, and who has the best "zingers".

I also have a resume and experience on my side.

For 4 years, not a single foreign adversary acted up with any aggression toward us.

President Trump maintains the proper visage.  There is NO misunderstanding him.

They all sat still with they hands folded for 3 years...sort of like all you House NTs did.

Little did we realize how much hatred you had built over that time...go figure.

Trump is one of those presidents that, on the things he was right on, he was very right. I agree that foreign adversaries were more intimidated by him than the current occupant who has project weakness to the enemies. But when Trump was wrong on things such as tariffs, spending, COVID, and inflation, he was terribly wrong

Many of the things he did right, like energy, the border, and regulations are now gone. The things he was wrong on we are still dealing with the ramifications
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
