I see her definitely running for president in '28. She is one whackadoo, crazy nut job with her vision for wiping out the economy for her New Green Deal. 

Ocasio-Cortez submitted her first piece of legislation, the Green New Deal, to the House on February 7, 2019. She and Senator Ed Markey released a joint non-binding resolution laying out the main elements of a 10-year "economic mobilization" that would phase out fossil fuel use and overhaul the nation's infrastructure. Their plan called for implementing the "social cost of carbon" that was part of the Obama administration's plans to address climate change. In the process it aimed to create jobs and boost the economy. According to CNBC, an initial outline the Green New Deal called for "completely ditching fossil fuels, upgrading or replacing 'every building' in the country and 'totally overhaul[ing] transportation' to the point where 'air travel stops becoming necessary'". The outline set a goal of having the U.S. "creating 'net zero' greenhouse gases in 10 years. Why 'net zero'? The lawmakers explained: 'We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren't sure that we'll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.' Activist groups such as Greenpeace and the Sunrise Movement came out in favor of the plan. No Republican lawmakers voiced support.
The plan gained support from some Democratic senators, including Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Cory Booker; other Democrats, such as Senator Dianne Feinstein and House speaker Nancy Pelosi, dismissed the proposal (Pelosi has referred to it as "the green dream, or whatever they call it").

A guest on Fox News said that Republicans in the Senate have not reacted to the threat of a “climate emergency” declaration from President Joe Biden.

Biden administration officials considered a “climate emergency” initiative in July 2022, according to emails released following a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from Energy Policy Advocates. Left-wing Democrats called on Biden to declare a “climate emergency” in June, citing wildfires in Canada that caused smoke to drift into the eastern United States, Bloomberg News reported.

“If I was a senator, I would be burning the place down making the point that the Biden administration is trying to destroy this country through climate policy, but Republicans don’t seem to be too exercised about it,” Steve Milloy of JunkScience.com told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.  ...

In yet another in his legendary list of verbal gaffes and blunders, Joe Biden has announced that the U.S. must work with China on “accelerating the climate crisis.”

He then announced a new climate army, 20,000 soldiers strong, to be paid by the U.S. government to fight the battles of global warming.

A report from GB News said Biden’s blunder was at the United Nations, in a speech “flooded with many of the mishaps he has become increasingly known for,” mentioned working with China on multiple efforts.

“Nowhere is that more critical than accelerating the climate crisis,” he charged. The report said he then tried to correct his stumble, with, “Than the accelerating climate crisis.”

Then, within hours, Fox News reported on his announcement about his new army.

The report said an executive order was lined up for Biden to sign that would hire 20,000 Americans to work on “climate change.” ...

President Joe Biden’s White House launched the American Climate Corps on Wednesday to “mobilize” 20,000 Americans to “tackle the climate crisis.”

The White House described the new corps as “a workforce training and service initiative that will ensure more young people have access to the skills-based training necessary for good-paying careers in the clean energy and climate resilience economy.”

“The American Climate Corps will mobilize a new, diverse generation of more than 20,000 Americans – putting them to work conserving and restoring our lands and waters, bolstering community resilience, deploying clean energy, implementing energy efficient technologies, and advancing environmental justice, all while creating pathways to high-quality, good-paying clean energy and climate resilience jobs in the public and private sectors after they complete their paid training program,” the White House said.
