My university roommate, back in the days of Clinton's presidency, very conservative, called me one day, and said 'I have had it! I am moving to another country.'
I said what country?
He said, New Zealand.
I started laughing and said, New Zealand is a socialist country, you will not like living there, not in the least.
He says, then Ireland then.
I said, Ireland is a largely Catholic country, you would have a hard time finding a job there being a Protestant.
He just grunted, and said, 'I guess I'll stay here then.'
He was a sports journalist for a Virginia newspaper, down in North Carolina doing a story on NASCAR, when he had chest pains. He was rushed to the hospital, and died on the table with his chest cracked open. He was 47 years young. That was 22 years ago, and more when he wanted to leave the USA.
Point here is that there are always folks wanting to leave to find a better place to live. There is no better place. If things continue to deteriorate here in the USA, do you honestly think anywhere else in the world will MAINTAIN a better existence? Just not happening.
