Glenn Youngkin: GOP Must Embrace Early Voting — ‘We’ve Got to Make Sure Every Vote Counts’

Pam Key 30 Aug 2023

Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) said Wednesday on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria” that Republicans must embrace early voting.

Anchor Maria Bartiromo said, “You are also urging Republicans take advantage of early voting. Talk to us about the Secure Your Vote Initiative how early voting could impact the election.”

Youngkin said, “Well we have, we have our midterms this year huge elections entire House entire Senate up. I believe it is the most important election in America. The reason is that we can demonstrate in 24 short months that a state with completely controlled by liberal left can in fact change direction, with our statewide sweep back in 2021. Now we need to have told our House flip our Senate. At heart of it is getting Republicans off the sidelines, making a plan to vote early.”

He added, “We all want to make sure that your vote counts, you can go to secureyourvotevirginia.com. Make a plan to vote early, either through absentee ballot, or just going to the polls early. We’ve got to make sure every vote counts. I’m tired of watching elections where we as Republicans are down thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of votes on Election Day. We can do this better. We got to get Republicans off the sidelines and make sure that everybody secures their votes.”

Well, scratch Youngkin off my list of someone who I thought would make a decent president.  He's got some marbles loose if he doesn't realize that, that is one way that enables the DEMS to cheat.  Obviously he's either not too bright or hasn't been paying attention.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Mr. Youngkin is a fool.

Early voting has nothing to do with making votes "count".

It has MUCH to do with ginning up phony votes for crooked "counting" later on.

Youngkin was a flash-in-the-pan winner. He can't run again, and he's gonna have just as hard a time winning any other office he runs for, as he had the first time.

Youngkin doesn't have the power to eliminate or reduce early voting in Va. because he's got a Democratic Senate.  Early voting is going to happen in Virginia in 2024 no matter what.  So the question is -- should Republicans be out there like Democrats pushing their people to vote early, or not?

I think we have to be if we're trying to maximize our vote.

No, he is right.. We have a choice either we embrace Early Voting or continue to fight this losing battle. The fact is this, Early voting and yes mail-in voting is here to stay.

Early voting in 2024 in any state isn't going away (along with mail-in voting).

So just because the DEMS basically orchestrated this as a way of stealing elections and the GOP stood hopelessly by and went along with it, we're supposed to accept it as the norm?   NO!!  We need to go back to one day voting on Election Day period.

It doesn't matter if you don't have clean voter lists.

Personally, I have much less of a problem with early voting than I do with absentee voting.  If someone isn't going to be in the jurisdiction for election day, I'd much rather have them vote in person than have someone mail it in their name.

That being said, let's say you're right about going back to only Election Day voting.  The Democrats currently control the Virginia Senate, and aren't about to give it up.  So to go back to only Election Day voting in Virginia, you'd first have to win an election.  And that election is going to be held with early voting because that's what the current law is.

Election day voting won't solve the problem. They will still find a way to stuff ballots through every leaky hole in the system. In many states what is required is a top to bottom fix.
The Republic is lost.
