I'm still a Republican, but I figure my obligation to vote for a particular GOP nominee extends only so far as that nominee accepted a reciprocal obligation to support whomever the nominee was. Trump didn't do that in 2016, he isn't doing it this year, and many of his supporters have said they won't either.
So if they don't have any loyalty to the party, I have zero for them.
Tumpy ginning up his character assassination machine would be all I need to know. Even setting aside his horrendous record, his lack of character - the lack of class needed to destroy your opponent with lies, would never pass my muster.
I have no need for any typical Republican Moderate Neocon, and will give them no power - they need torn down, and kept far away from levers of power.
And just like that, without DeSantis, there is nothing there to vote *FOR*.
No doubt I WILL be voting for Governor Ganforte and Congressman Zinke, Not sure yet if I will give Sen Daines my vote. And I will vote against Sen Testercle providing a Conservative stands against him. And I will be active in state and regional politics to some small degree.
So I will vote for sure.
But less DeSantis, I can assure you the top of the ticket will be Libertarian or Constitution Party, or left blank.
