Former President Donald Trump has vowed to continue his 2024 White House run even if he is convicted and sentenced on criminal charges.

Trump made the promise during a Friday appearance on "The John Fredricks Show," a pro-Trump radio program, when asked whether his potential conviction would terminate his second bid for the White House.

"Not at all. There’s nothing in the Constitution to say that it could," Trump said. "Even the radical left crazies are saying, ‘No, that wouldn’t stop!’ And it wouldn’t stop me either."

Trump is currently facing multiple state and federal charges, including 34 counts of falsifying business records in New York, and 37 federal charges stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into his alleged improper retention of classified records at his Mar-a-Lago home.

He pled "not guilty" to the New York charges in April and the federal charges in June.

Trump is also facing potential indictments in the federal investigation into his alleged role in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, as well as Georgia's investigation into "possible criminal interference in the administration of Georgia’s 2020 general election."

I don't think so... Convicted on felony charges weeks before an election is worth thirty points in the wrong direction. You gotta remember that most folks ain't political wonks. A whole bunch of Republicans are Law and Order, and they won;t stand for that, and a bunch more just don't pay that much attention.

BS charges according to whom??  So you're saying that people are more apt to vote for a convicted felon because some believe the charges were b.s.??

Last thing I want is for Trump to be wrongfully found guilty and put in prison, but voting for a convicted felon isn't going to do this country any good.  None whatsoever.

For me, whether or not a guy has been indicted or is in prison is irrelevant.  If I think he's the best candidate but imprisoned unjustly as part of a political witch hunt , I'm voting for him anyway.  Can't let political prosecutions determine who our next President is

Of course, it all hinges on whether or not I think he's the best candidate.  If I don't, then I'm not voting for him regardless of whether he's been persecuted politically or behind bars.

If Biden can run a campaign from his basement, then Trump can do it from prison.  It's not like he's an unknown quantity who voters must see/hear to understand.  Don't think he'll have a chance in hell of winning, but....

If it's on Biden and the economy and his corruption the Republicans win.    That's what's really happening here.    Divert the attention of the suburban soccer mom's, the independents, the swing voters.

And if the Democrats run someone other than Biden, that takes the bolded out of the equation.  Even worse, they'd almost certainly run someone younger than Trump, so the age/potential senility issue that currently helps Trump against Biden would suddenly flip and become a disadvantage because of Trump's own age.

In other words, running Trump means we're counting on the Democrats bailing us out by running Biden.  That doesn't seem like a sound plan to me.
