He ought to hit his age, because its an attack for which there really isn't a good answer, and that will resonate with people because of Biden.  "The country is seeing what happens when you have an angry old man pushing 80 years old running the country, and it isn't working out so well.  Will voters really want to vote that guy out only to replace him with another one?

I am surprised more opponents aren'y calling Tumpy out on his $15T Freedom Cities bullshit, and the bonus baby concept.

Make his orange ass pay for his socialist ideas.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Yup.

Tumpy's turned out to be a worhless POS.  No self proclaimed conservative should support this socialist trojan horse.

Because most of his opponents are going the same way. 'Freedom cities' are an echo of the federalized '15 minute cities' sported by Davos. That's the new big thing. And if it hadn't been for 25 recalcitrant Red States, the manufactured plague would have brought them here already.

So much for 'Tumpy the Outsider'...

I'm surprised as well that this hasn't been brought up again. It's a bizarre, crazy idea.

Because people know it is all BS with no actual intention of doing it. He's a carnival barker trying to make the sale. A sale where the vast majority lose.

It's an idea that the MAGAs would be mocking Biden over if he made a similar proposal. But the MAGA cities and MAGA breeding money are symbolic of how Trump views the role of the federal government and it's a grim window into a Trump second term.
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

It's the kind of idea that only a Democrat would come up with.  Oh, wait .  .  .
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Not even a Democrat would come up with that nonsensical idea, at least publicly

That’s as central planning as they come. Something the GOP/ conservatives vehemently opposed because it fails every time it’s been tried

It's not DeSantis that's dividing the party right now...

It is entirely possible to have a primary where different candidates compete against each other for the nomination without "dividing the party".  You have the primary, and then Republicans can together to support the eventual nominee.  That was the norm before Trump.

But Trump doesn't want or believe in that.  He wants to destroy politically anyone who dares compete against him in the primary, regardless of how much damage it does to party unity.  And then he blames others for the damage he causes.

It's essentially political blackmail.  "Support me without opposition, or I'll divide the party and ensure a Democrat wins."

Unfortunately, that is his basic modus operandi.

Exactly.  So the question is whether you surrender to that blackmailer, or tell him to go copulate with himself and challenge him anyway.

I vote the latter.
