🚨 BREAKING UPDATE: Before Hunter Biden's plea deal collapsed, Federal Judge Maryellen Noreika asked the case's top prosecutor if the deal meant Hunter would be IMMUNE from prosecution for other possible crimes—including those related to representing foreign governments.

The prosecutor said NO, then one of Hunter's attorneys jumped up and said "then there's no deal!"

Reporters present in the courtroom have said the judge seemed highly skeptical of the "unusual deal" from the get-go, as it offered Hunter Biden BROAD immunity from prosecution in perpetuity.

The judge questioned why it was filed under a provision that gave her no legal authority to reject it. She then asked Leo Wise, the top prosecutor, if there was any precedent for that kind of deal being proposed.

He replied, "No, your honor."

NEW: The judge asked Hunter for the names of the foreign companies where he has worked.

"The Ukrainian energy company was Burisma," Biden said. Biden has also mentioned his work for a Chinese energy company, CEFC. His ties to that company have come under intense scrutiny by House Republicans.

The judge asked Biden, "You did know that you owed tax money, right?"

Biden said, "Yes, your honor."

The Hunter Biden plea deal was apparently more outrageous and far reaching than had previously been publicly known.

In return for pleading to the two misdemeanor tax fraud charges, with a joint recommendation of no prison time, Hunter was getting not just pretrial diversion on his felony gun charge that would leave his record clear if he completed probation, but also broad guarantees against further prosecution on a wide range of other charges that haven’t been publicly aired as of yet.

Hunter refused to plead guilty without these guarantees, so the judge effectively blew up the plea.

Hunter wants to walk away from a decade of criminal activity, including potential FARA violations and other serious criminal charges, with a slap on the wrist.

It’s a scandal that Biden’s DOJ was willing to agree to this kind of a deal.

Fortunately, Judge Norieka isn’t playing ball.

President Biden has pardon power over all federal charges. I fully expect Joe Biden to pardon Hunter on anything and everything the feds can or will charge against him. The pardon power is broad and can be used on current and future charges as long as you know which ones... and in this case, dad will know from his son which charges he should be pardoned on.

I expect Biden to use his pardon powers more effectively than Trump used his.

BREAKING: CNN is freaking out after Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal appears to have fallen apart after federal prosecutors told the judge that Hunter is still under investigation.

When Judge Maryellen Noreika confronted the prosecutors what Hunter was currently under investigation for, they refused to answer.

The judge specifically asked if Hunter violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) but prosecutors failed to answer.

UPDATE (12:29 PM EST): Judge Maryellen Noreika has reportedly accepted a plea agreement for Hunter Biden that is “much more limited in scope” than first submitted — allowing federal prosecutors to pursue charges for crimes aside from the drug use, tax evasion, and firearm offense that Biden is admitting to in today’s deal.

🚨BREAKING : Hunter Biden plea deal on two tax charges fell apart after the federal judge hearing his case expressed concern over a related agreement on a more serious gun possession charge.

He had been charged with two misdemeanor tax crimes of failure to pay more than $100,000 in taxes from over $1.5 million in income in both 2017 and 2018.
Also, Hunter Biden was charged with possession of a firearm by a person who is a known drug user, a felony.

U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika, said she was concerned about the language in the diversion agreement and suggested the lawyers get back together and discuss it.
