Ron DeSantis’ 2024 campaign is undergoing a massive shake-up. He used Trump’s line here: “You’re fired.” The Florida Republican is firing dozens of staffers in what is being reported as a cost-cutting measure. While DeSantis’ operation has been flushed with cash, these are the realities of the national campaign. You need to feed the beast. These campaigns cost money, and Mr. DeSantis might have hired too many people. The staffers terminated were described as mid-level, though more firings are expected in the coming days. There are even rumblings that DeSantis’ campaign manager, Generra Peck, could be on the chopping block (via NBC News):

When you burn $7.9 million and get nowhere in the polling, then it is time to shake things up. Since I have experience and qualifications in this area, I would like to offer Mr. DeSantis a little free advice:

Sir, if you cannot win Iowa, you cannot win the nomination.

Get rid of all the chaff, save your money for a national campaign to come later, go to Iowa and run a voter-by-voter retail campaign between now and election day. Walk precincts, go to bowling alleys, hold coffee klatches. Do this energetically and relentlessly between now and January 15th. Stay there through the holidays, and walk precincts in the snow. Stop giving speeches and just meet people and listen to what they tell you.

There are 673,000 Republican voters in Iowa. That means you must shake 3,700 hands a day. That may sound like a lot, but it is doable. You must stop having meetings and focus on shaking hands with people you have not met before. Let other people hold meetings. Your job is to shake hands with people and ask them their concerns. That is the only job you have for the next 6 months.

When the rest of the country sees you have done this, and you have beat Trump in the first in the nation test, it will matter.

Sir, this is the only way you can win. If you are unwilling to do this, then save us all the inter-party squabbling and wait until 2028. That is all.

His strategy has been lame from day one.  You do not go after Trump with tea and crumpets.  Out of the gate, you have to hit him hard, harder than Trump has ever been hit.  Jeb Bush with $100 million in his war chest did not even get halfway to first base going up against Trump.

If DeSantis wants to beat Trump, he has to take the gloves off, and he has to nail Trump for NOT getting things done, NOT keeping promises.  Trump lies and no one calls him on it in the Republican Party.  Trumps two aw-sh*ts wipe out all his that-a-boys. 

Trump did NOT end the H1-b Visa Program as promised day one, or any day of his presidency.  In fact, he met with the tech billionaire oligarchs of the USA and increased the H1-b Visa recipients.

Trump did NOT build the wall as promised.

It is these two MAJOR TRUTHS that DeSantis has to go after, and repeat and repeat and repeat until no one in America does not know these two truths.

None of that would help.  Ever since he was mentioned this past November I've held that any campaign on the part of DeSantis would be a waste of time.  Trump could shoot the pope in the face on live television, and the republicans would tell us the pope had it coming, and furthermore the papacy was stolen from Trump.  It's a wacky personality cult, and nobody should vote for republicans until that changes.

Good to see you recommending people either not vote,or vote for Biden. It takes away ANY doubt about your political mindset.
