Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes warns Trump will 'be found guilty' over classified documents
David Zimmermann
Stewart Rhodes, the founder of the Oath Keepers militia group, recently warned former President Donald Trump about his classified documents trial, saying Trump will “be found guilty” if he goes.
The warning comes from Rhodes’s experience of being in the same position as Trump — the former was convicted of seditious conspiracy regarding his involvement in the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021. Rhodes told the Washington Times that federal prosecutors will do “the same thing” to Trump.
“You’re going to get railroaded. You’re going to be found guilty if you try to go to trial,” Rhodes said about Trump. “So everyone’s been demoralized and more likely to take a plea deal and agree to ‘test-a-lie’ against President Trump.”
Rhodes claimed the federal government is actively trying to turn Trump’s inner circle against him and attempting to intimidate possible witnesses from defending the former president in court.
The interview was conducted while Rhodes remained in federal prison.
