How Can the Dems Get Rid of Joe?
By John Green

The Biden hits just keep coming.  Trust in government is collapsing.  Americans are starting to wonder what passes for "normal" in Washington, if this is a return to normalcy.  According to Pew Research, only about 20 percent of Americans trust the government to do what's right.  That leaves 80 percent who expect government to do what is wrong — as in morally and ethically wrong.

Joe's fundraising is also lackluster.  Politico reports that the Dems are concerned that Joe isn't inspiring their donor class anymore.  If this keeps up, the party isn't going to have the money it needs to steal the next election.  Democrats are finding out that donors don't spend as much on influence when it looks as though influence is going to be in short supply.

That brings me to Joe's polling.  The cost of living is up, wages are down, and personal savings are evaporating.  An NBC poll found that 71 percent of Americans think the country is on the wrong path — and they know who the trail boss is.  So Joe's numbers are down.  Pew Research reports that his approval has fallen to 37 percent.  Unless Joe finds a way to spend us out of economic collapse, or buys a Men in Black neuralyzer to wipe the last three years of our memory, public opinion is not likely to improve much.

Yet he is still polling ahead of opposition candidates.

I think Newsom is going to run, regardless of what Biden decides. It's now or never for him, politically.

If Newsome runs, I think he has a steeper hill to climb than Kennedy.

Agree. But I don't think that will stop him.

Since Come-a-lot leaves such a terrible taste in the dems mouth also (pun intended), they will first dump her.  Give her something that will appeal to her like President of the World or head BJ'er of the Universe.

Joe is nasty, but they can rid themselves of him the same way they got rid of Jack and blame the usual suspects (no longer Communists, but White Supremacists), and use it to push for civilian disarmament, any time they aren't getting their cut. Bobby's assassination was the excuse to push the GCA of '68, and they'd use the same pattern.

The one they are trying to shut down is RFK Jr. because he sees through a lot of this crap (they are already calling him a "conspiracy theorist" and 'anti-vaxxer nutcase--even though he hasn't said anything not borne out or at least apparently supported by evidence--to try to marginalize him).  And Pharma keeps buying that ad time.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

After they pulled this switcheroo off, at the last minute, nothing surprises me anymore.

Lautenberg to Be Torricelli's Replacement in Senate Race
By | Fox News
Published January 13, 2015 5:53pm EST

TRENTON, N.J. – New Jersey Democrats announced Tuesday night that they had chosen former Sen. Frank Lautenberg to replace Sen. Robert Torricelli on the November ballot.

The decision was reached after a full day of meetings among senior state party officials, and announced by Gov. James E. McGreevey at a press conference.

The Democrats have a one-seat majority in the Senate, and Torricelli, tainted by allegations of corruption, was suffering from a double-digit lag behind his Republican challenger.

Lautenberg became the Democrats' choice after they considered his legislative record and his stand on social issues, which matched the party line, McGreevey said.
