I would vote for a candidate who was an atheist as long as they had a verifiable record of limiting the size and reach of government. They wouldn’t have to be a practicing Christian in my view

There are usually two reasons people don’t invite someone into their homes. One, they have an unresolved conflict with that person or, two, they believe that person intends some harm

Because without the Christians, Republicans would never win anything, for starters. They are the biggest voting bloc on the planet. Is it your assumption that they should put aside their immovable principles - The things THEY think are important and will fight for? Because they won't. It's what they're made of. They will still fight - Just not for you. Kinda like me.
