Teacher Unions Promote a Culture War Offensive

After 12-14 years of public education, can Johnny read, add, subtract, multiply, and divide without assistance?

Because of social promotions during the late 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s, Johnny couldn't.  That's why many jurisdictions have standardized test requirements for graduation - the public education system was failing the students, the taxpayers, and the voters ... unions be damned.

How is it even constitutional for any government entity to unionize against its own taxpayers? I mean, technically, that's rebellion.
