Despite the ruling, family members of one of the teens believe that the homeowner crossed the line. In a heartbreaking interview, 16-year-old Ismael Cordova’s relatives insisted that “he didn’t deserve to be shot.”

The problem is that he did deserve this and they should teach their children how to behave!

@American Girl

The bad news here is that if he had two IQ points to rub together,he KNOWS than now he has to move,and possibly even change his name,if he doesn't want himself and his family attacked again.

IF he is smart,he will even move to another state  in addition to changing his name.

It might not be "right" in a moral sense,but it IS "right" in every other sense because those boys relatives and friends WILL be coming  after them.

The homeowner is lucky that this didn’t happen in St. Louis, Missouri or New York City. He would’ve been charged.
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

I actually cut them some slack because they are the family members and blood is, or should be, thicker than politics. Their reaction is expected.

I would actually think it would be off putting  If they said that their family member should’ve not done what he did and got what he deserved and the homeowner was right.

That’s why family members don’t serve on juries

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
If their little darlings hadn't broken the man's fence, tried to get into his garage, and fired on him when he caught them, maybe he wouldn't have fired back.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
