Commentators were quick to note President Joe Biden’s low job approval and favorability ratings after he announced his long-expected reelection bid on April 25, 2023.

Others have publicly urged Biden not to run again because of his advanced age. Biden’s popularity has never really recovered following the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan and the COVID resurgence in the summer of 2021.

But if former President Donald Trump becomes the Republican nominee – right now he’s leading the primary polls by a fairly wide margin – then Biden is in better shape than the analysts and pundits give him credit for. That’s because Trump remains even more unpopular than Biden.

Recent political science findings reveal that for most candidates, it’s more valuable to have an unpopular opponent than to be personally popular yourself. This is a phenomenon called “negative partisanship,” and it’s one of the key reasons why voters often feel like they’re constantly choosing between the lesser of two evils rather than the better of two goods.

The lesser of two evils instead of the better of two goods...

Just let that phrase sink in a bit.

As I have stated a couple of times; it is time for Trump to pass the MAGA torch onto someone else.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Professor Hunt, meet The Party's underground (and above-ground) election apparatus, which overcomes the requirement that the candidate must be overly "popular" to win.

The media will provide enough polls to create enough of an appearance that The Party's candidate is within probability of victory.

And "the apparatus" will then deliver the requisite number of votes to complete the job.

My son was telling me of a new Trump super pack add  he saw showing DeSantis yard signs being thrown into the trash.    He alleinates a large number of DeSantis faithful just in Florida alone he will lose Florida and the election. But he will still blame voter fraud.

Whatever may occur in the future, RAMPANT voter fraud did occur in 2020 @NavyCanDo

With a feeble incumbent and many seats in play, this already feels like a massive waste.  I’m not going to write the conservative movement off, but they are making it very hard to stay relevant in the near to medium term.

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

It does not matter, really.

While the MSM has had plenty of practice hating and denigrating Trump, he is damaging himself even more.

But whoever the GOP candidate is, the same media outlets that hid Hunter Biden's Laptop and the plethora of actions by the Biden Crime Syndicate will continue to run interference for them, and will purely and thoroughly smear and denigrate the candidate. The polls, legitimately or otherwise, will show a 'close race' and Biden will squeak by in those "Battleground States" which have embraced the sort of election rules that permit questionable election results, and will count ballots until the Democrat wins.

Nothing has been done the change the playing field from 2020, so don't expect different results.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Electability matters. Not sure why conservatives seem dumb to this reality? Say what you will about Democrats but they seem to understand electibility better.

Don't tell me for a minute that Slow Joe and Kamaltoe have electability.
No, Socialists are trained to march in lockstep - They WANT government.
Slow Joe is a perfect example that electability means absolutely nothing.

Conservatives are more like herding cats. Necessarily. Where again, electbility is only a force within partisanship - Republican-ism, having nothing to do with Conservatism.

So pull sommore for that big Rhinstone 'R'... It's been working so well..
