That list is complete horseshit. Jimmy Carter? Franklin Pierce? Millard Fillmore? Woodrow Wilson?
lol...shoot the message not the messeger. Point was some of our most brilliant American thinkers came from that era. That was just POTUS. Think about Hamilton, Franklin, Paine, and others who weren't even president, and how their intellect impacted the infancy of this nation.
Now contrast the theirs versus cloddy hoskins who likely doesn't break double digits.
OTOH, as far as Carter, Wilson, intelligence isn't directly correlatable to leadership skills. In fact as big of a failure Carter was, you seem to forget he went to Georiga Tech, which is among the best engineering schools in the south, and graduated from the Naval Academy. Not hardly inbecillic ed. credentials.
Wilson was hugely book smart, but had the common sense of an 8 year old. And as far as Fillmore, and Pierce, I really don't know enough about them to say one way or the other.
