Fauci and Pfizer Lied to Trump About COVID-19 Vaccine, Claims Navarro

Former Trump administration adviser Peter Navarro revealed that the ex-president was allegedly deceived into believing that Pfizer’s COVID-19 shot was a “true vaccine” while blaming Antony Fauci for hiding sensitive information regarding the COVID origin.

Fauci and Pfizer “didn’t disclose the side effects of that [vaccine]” to Trump, Navarro said in a May 4 podcast by Patrick Bet-David on YouTube. “And they weren’t clear with him. They made him think that it was a true vaccine when it’s not. It’s mRNA technology.” Traditional vaccines work by introducing a harmless piece of bacteria or virus into the human body to trigger an immune response, with most of these vaccines containing only a weakened or dead microbe.

However, mRNA vaccines do not use any part of the actual bacteria. Instead, they use a molecule called messenger RNA that corresponds to a viral protein, typically a piece of protein that is found in the outer membrane of the virus.

Navarro blamed Fauci for making the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States as bad as it was. Fauci “knew for a fact that that virus came from the Wuhan lab. He knew that because he had funded the gain of function research in that lab and he had already begun to design a cover-up,” he said.

“And we know that from the emails he sent to a group of researchers and academics, trying to get their support to push that ‘come from nature’ theory.”

“If he had simply owned up to the fact that that thing came from the lab, we could have pressured the Chinese to give us the genome sequence which would have allowed us to design an effective vaccine rather than the crap we wound up getting.”

Traditional vaccines work by introducing a harmless piece of bacteria or virus into the human body to trigger an immune response, with most of these vaccines containing only a weakened or dead microbe.

The "T" of the TDaP and DTaP vaccines does not target the tetanus bacterium, therefore does not "introduc(e) a harmless piece of bacteria". It targets the toxin that the bacterium produces.

Further, while the "traditional" protein sub-unit type of vaccine uses a protein that is typically part of the target organism, the proteins in the vaccine are not necessarily produced from bacteria. For example, the Medicago protein sub-unit Covid vaccine, had it gone into production, would have used proteins produced using genetically modified plants, not SARS-CoV-2 viruses. One could say that this distinction between proteins refined from actual bacteria/viruses and proteins produced by other means is an abstruse quibble, but since Peter Navarro (his graduate level degrees are in Public Administration and Economics, not anything medical ... I'm not surprised) claimed illusory precision by claiming Pfizer's vaccine (He didn't call out Moderna, which also uses mRNA technology? Or was that writer Naveen Athrappully's careless omission?) is not a "true vaccine", the distinction illustrates that he was speaking outside of his understanding.

Viral vector vaccines, such as Johnson & Johnson's and the not-authorized-in-the-US AstraZeneca Covid vaccines are fairly new, but Covid vaccines were not the first vaccines produced and approved using viral vector technology. Putting it bluntly, "Traditional vaccines" was a word game, and Navarro seems to be unaware that vaccine technologies have advanced since the 1950s (when dead/inactivated virus and protein sub-unit vaccine technologies were all that were). Since the 1950s, semiconductor technology has advanced from diffusion into germanium and silicon substrates to multiple layers "printed" onto substrates using photographic masks. Does that mean that the processor, chipset, and memory in you computer, tablet, and phone are not "true semiconductors"? The "reasoning" does not work, whether with semiconductors or vaccines.
