Fox News is owned by a public stock corporation. The company's only obligations are to profits and to the shareholders ... not the viewers, not the truth.
Corporate media conglomerates will skew programming towards whatever will maximize revenue and earnings.
Fox made as much money from Tucker as it could. Facing losses from potential future legal actions, they cut bait when Tucker became a negative value proposition.
Anything and everything in the media is about selling something ... ideas, pillows, cars, beer, politicians, political parties, space age kitty litter, boner pills, etc.
Corporate media is devoid of integrity.
If Fox News does not survive, it will re-invent itself as needed to re-establish a profitable revenue stream.
In the meantime, other media outlets have an opportunity to build their audiences.
