Meanwhile, the single coronation glove, also known as the Coronation Gauntlet, will go on King Charles' right hand while he holds the Sovereign's Sceptre with Cross during the crowning.

It is made of white leather and the large cuff is embroidered in the form of national emblems including the Tudor rose, thistle, shamrock, oak leaves and acorns. The back of the hand has an embroidered ducal coronet above the coat of arms of the family of the Dukes of Newcastle.

On Saturday they are likely to travel by horse and carriage.

But today the Prince and Princess of Wales turned commuter as they hopped on the London Underground to work.

William and Kate travelled, naturally, on the Elizabeth Line from Acton Main Line station to Tottenham Court Road, the nearest stop to Soho, where they stopped off to pull pints and chat to hospitality staff at the Dog and Duck pub.

And during the royal mother-of-three, who recycled her Eponine coat for the occasion, admitted the family were still getting 'all of the ducks' in a row before the big event.

The Princess also revealed her three children were deeply immersed in the preparations. 'The children are having their Coronation celebration at school today,' she said.

And the royal added that their eldest child Prince George was 'excited' about the upcoming celebrations and had been taking part in rehearsals.

She explained that George was a page of honour during the service at Westminster Abbey and, asked if he was looking forward to it, she replied: 'He is actually. Having done a few rehearsals, I think everyone is a bit more relaxed.'

She praised the atmosphere in the area as 'wonderful' and that excitement for the coronation was 'already starting to build'.

Meanwhile they headed outside to meet with crowds of cheering royal fans, who greeted them with shouts of 'We love you!' before the couple posed for selfies with the crowd.

Prince William appeared relaxed as he chatted with royal fans, telling one group who were discussing the newly opened Shambles Bar in Windsor: 'I love a cocktail! Best not to do it before the Coronation but maybe afterwards!'

COMMENTARY: After months of will they, won’t they, it was finally announced with great fanfare that Harry would attend the royal coronation.

Now Duchess Meghan, that was another thing. While she sits back idly waiting for an apology from the royals for making her relevant and internationally famous, she declined the invite to the event of the decade because she wanted to stay home for a 4-year old’s birthday party. Truthfully, can anyone recall their fourth birthday?

After a batch of backfires in the PR stakes – with secret letters sent to King Charles to explain why she was such a monster on TV to Oprah, and then to explain the meaning behind it – this was the bombshell of the week.

This was followed up with Meghan gushing about her chum for a social media talk. Then, if that were not quite enough, accidentally going out to a Lakers game and brushing away the rehearsed advances of her husband Prince Harry for the world to see on the "kiss cam." Well, that all failed so now what? This!

You see Meghan trusts/uses a few people on earth with her detailed worlds, and her closest crony is the man who also misled the world about he and her not advising/working on a biography flop, you know the one who regularly pops up on TV spouting drivel like how hard Meghan and Harry are working on their charity work.

He is back just in time to launch this new PR missile and hopes that people will remember what hardworking charitable people they are. Sadly for them, he chose the little watched U.K. show "This Morning," embroiled already in their own crisis with its presenters falling out and court cases, not the best choice of daytime TV you can imagine.

"Meghan and Harry were not sure they would be welcomed," he gushed to camera, which would almost bring a tear to a glass eye.

Really, you think, after the docs, the book "Spare" and Harry demanding that the royals pay homage to Meghan, meanwhile bowing down to Harry. Again, you see, Meghan and Harry want to put the public spin on this.

I can reveal in fact they were both cordially invited way back late last year, with an offer directly from the king, to spend the festive season with them and the family. The truth is they had no idea at that time on how to get in touch with Harry as his phone keeps changing due to "security," so again not the truth but Meghan and Harry’s truth.

Prince Harry arrives in London on commercial flight for King Charles’ coronation

Prince Harry arrived in London on Friday on a commercial flight ahead of his father King Charles III’s coronation, Page Six can confirm.

The grand royal event, in which Charles and his wife, Camilla, will officially be crowned king and queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms, is scheduled to take place on Saturday at Westminster Abbey.

Although Harry, 38, will be in attendance, Buckingham Palace confirmed last month that his wife, Meghan Markle, will not be joining him.

Instead, the Duchess of Sussex, 41, will remain in California with the couple’s two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as the former is turning 4 on the same day as the coronation.

The King and the Prince and Princess of Wales thrilled royal fans at The Mall as they made a surprise appearance to greet well-wishers this afternoon, less than 24 hours before the coronation.

The road leading to Buckingham Palace was cleared and royal fans eagerly lined the route, having likely figured out that they may well catch a glimpse of the new King due to the security and media presence.

The King laughed when asked by a man if he was 'nervous for tomorrow' and was was heard joking to some children, 'No school? You've done very well!' William told one woman 'I love your hair bow', while Kate told another person that the occasion 'is a great moment for celebration'.

People cheered and could be heard shouting 'God Save the King' as the senior figures of the monarchy arrived to shake hands with well-wishers. One woman told Charles: 'You look much younger in the flesh' - causing him to jokingly grimace.

Royal superfans who have been sleeping along the route all week were left blown away by the visit, which came just hours after a downpour soaked thousands of people camped out at The Mall, with one person telling Sky News: 'This is the happiest moment in my life.'

Maybe the camera caught him at the wrong moment but it looks like Charles is crying, not laughing.

Perhaps he's overwhelmed? He's been waiting patiently for this day for many years.

Rumor has it that he's going to in turn hand the crown over to William.

That's what the article says but it looks like he's crying to me.

Tomorrow is the big day for him and the Royal family. I'm glad Markle won't be in attendance.
