North Dakota has passed a bill that would allow public school teachers and government to ignore the preferred pronouns of trans-identfied students and colleagues.

The Senate passed a bill prohibiting transgender students from using the bathroom of their choice without the approval of a parent or legal guardian. The legislation also requires teachers to inform parents if their child identifies as transgender, Fox News reports.

Good.  Pronouns are of primary importance to the speaker, because they allow the speaker to more accurately indicate about whom they are speaking.  They are not of primary importance to the person about whom they are used, and anyone who tries to say otherwise is being a speech-fascist.
