 Chicago to host 2024 Democratic convention

Democrats will hold their 2024 national convention in Chicago, according to three sources familiar with the decision.

The decision to hold the 2024 Democratic National Convention there will place the party and President Biden in the heart of a battleground region that has proven pivotal in the last several election cycles.

Party officials were torn between a few finalists as they weighed where to hold the gathering, including New York and Atlanta.

Cops? They don't need cops, the new mayor will make sure there are plenty of social workers available. If I were a cop still working in Chicago during the convention I would come down with Covid for the duration.

I don’t understand why they’re having their convention in a city like Chicago?

Why wouldn’t they pick another city to highlight where democrat progressive policies have brought prosperity, safe streets, good schools… oh wait. Never mind

I'll also admit to hoping that some of those cops that remain in Chicago decide that passivity rather than aggression is the way to go.  Because you know what will happen is that the Mayor and other Democrats will be pressuring for a police crackdown up front, but then will hang all those cops out to dry after the convention is over.
