In 2021, the population of Mesa, AZ was 510,000. Tucson population was 543,000. Mesa has been exploding for years and continues to do so.
They continue to build all over the place.
Mesa will soon pass Tucson as AZ's 2nd largest city. The next cities in line are Scottsdale, Gilbert, and Chandler, each at a quarter million.
Like other cities, the city council has not changed. Mesa has 6 council members. In Lenexa, Kansas where I used to live...they had eight council members for 50,000 people.
While I don't like it, I am just learning about the organizations in our area.
Mesa is really two cities. The older section and the section to the east (where more of the money is). Seems like we should have some "sub councils".
