:mauslaff:

Has even one person asked Trump how much these new crystal cities that Trump wants to build is going to be subsidized by the taxpayers?

I've got  an idea, but would like to hear from the orange man himself first.

If his reluctance to answer questions matches those of many of his supporters, you’re gonna be waiting a long time for that answer
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

That's worthy of a thread, because it is a truly bizarre thing coming from a nominal Republican.

Keep in mind, when they go to TruthSocial, or TOS, their claims are never challenged. So they developed a bubble mindset.

Here they are challenged. So you see their reaction. If Ron DeSantis were to ever decide to throw his hat in the ring, I expect him to be fully scrutinized and any claims that he makes that are not true should be challenged. Because the stakes are high.

I have never posted anything about Donald Trump that was not true. And if I do, I would expect somebody to correct me with something more than “stop listening to the voices in your head.”

It was so bizarre that I didn’t believe he said it, so I looked it up.  What he wants to do is take federal land and turn parts of them into new cities.

Now,  there is a debatevwhen it comes to the federal government owning so much  land. But this sounds like those cities that China built that don’t have anybody living in them

Like I mentoned on another thread...

Did anyone hear the reply from Trump around his Truth Social Post with the bat and D.A. Briggs on Hannity last night?

His response...   "I didn't do it".  :silly:

Funny shit, I tell ya.

I started a thread on it.  It is truly bizarre -- it sounds like something coming from the turn of the century (19/20) Utopian Socialists.  There was a novel "Looking Backward" , written in 1888 by a guy named Edward Bellamy that I had to read in college.  It was absolutely huge at the time, but it sounds a lot like this.

It’s a possibility that somebody else could have posted that. Although, like I’ve said in the past, if there’s anybody who should get a baseball bat to the side of their head, I can’t think of anybody more deserving than Alvin Bragg.

And how many of Bragg’s victims in New York City would smile

You and I saying that or meme-ing it is one thing, but an announced POTUS candiate who already has been accused of inciting violence?

Not the best optics under any circumstance.

I will admit, there was a dark side of me that did find that pretty funny.

If Alvin Bragg wants to use the citizens of New York City as guinea pigs for his progressive crime policies, he needs to sacrifice his own safety first

Do you not see the absurdity of your statement?  Here you sit hour after hour, day after day, week after week surrounded by the same ten bored, angry men feeding each others' fantasy-based POV --- and you're claiming *others* developed a bubble mindset?

The only "challenge" is how to present reality-based information without triggering a mob attack.

Have you had a chance to think over my question? Everything I posted was true.

I will ask again. Those positions that Donald Trump has or has taken in the past, do you agree with yes or no

You stated that those positions of Donald Trump were just voices in my head. Every one of those that I listed are backed up with his own statements. Not what other briefers claimed were his positions

I made a claim. You challenged that claim. I gave you examples. Now I provide opportunity to prove me wrong. Give some of that “reality based information” that you claim to be the sole possessor of.

So I gave you an opening to prove me wrong.

As do I. I knew I wasn’t gonna get an answer but you can’t blame somebody for trying

Take care and have a good day

It would be fascinating to see you get an actual substantive response; however, I've long since given up on ever seeing that day.

I didn’t think my question was unfair. There’s candidates I vote for that I don’t agree with 100%.

But instead of an answer, she turned it personal. She lashed out at other members about how much time they spend on this site, forgetting that she’s also a very prolific poster herself, then stormed off. I have been on this site in the last few days, more than normal, because I am recovering from a case of the hives. I seem to get them every spring. A parting gift from my maternal grandfather

And this seems to be a common theme. When they are challenged, you get this behavior, “Internet shitheads” comment, or ESAD. If this is how they’re going to handle stress when the primary season really gets going, I think Donald Trump is going to be in more trouble than we realize. Right now, he’s benefiting as being the assumed front runner and the Alvin Bragg issue.

Not that “our side” can be much better. I’ve seen comments about being on knees for Donald Trump.

I don’t understand why his supporters believe that providing an answer to some very fair questions is unfair?

But it is what it is. And I wasn’t demanding somebody change their vote. Who they vote for is their business

Matt Gaetz Calls on Ron DeSantis, Ted Cruz to Endorse Donald Trump for President

Katherine Hamilton 25 Mar 2023

Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz (R) called on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to support Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential run.

Gaetz made the comment during a speech on Saturday at a Trump rally in Waco, Texas. During his speech, the congressman credited the success of both DeSantis and Cruz to Trump because of how the former president supported them as candidates in their respective races.

“Only Donald Trump could have rescued us from Hillary Clinton. Without Trump doing three rallies in the final week in the 2018 election in Florida, my governor today would probably be Andrew Gillum,” Gaetz said, referencing the close race between DeSantis and Gillum, who was soon after caught up in various scandals. “How weird is that? And without Trump dragging Ted Cruz across the finish line, your senator would probably be beta-Beto.”

“So Ron DeSantis, Ted Cruz: patriots of the MAGA movement delivered for you in your time of need,” Gaetz continued. “Today, Ron DeSantis and Ted Cruz should endorse Donald Trump for president and stand with us as we were so proud to stand with them.”

My neighbor showed me pics this morning of her trip to Waco to see Trump, et al.  She has pics with Matt Gaetz, who seems like quite the "pretty boy".  She did say he was quite nice though.  She just got back from C-Pac as well....she's all in for Trump....poor thing.
