He didn't serve 15  years in the Navy. He served maybe 4 years,and the rest was as a reservist. Yeah,technically,he could have been called back on active duty if we had declared war on some other nation,but that is VERY unlikely to happen to a politician because the other politicans would start to worry  about being called up themselves if they are reservists.

Hold Everything: Now Trump Will Likely NOT Be Arrested, at Least on Tuesday

Donald Trump announced on Saturday morning that he would be arrested on Tuesday, and the nation has been agog at the prospect of the Leftist establishment crossing the rubicon of arresting its principal opponent on flimsy charges and demonstrating before the entire world that the American republic is now the American banana republic, in which foes of the regime can expect the full weight of corrupt government authority pushing back against them for daring to dissent.

But now it turns out that the Manhattan district attorney’s office, which has Trump in its sights, just may be stepping back from the brink: Business Insider reported Saturday night that Trump’s indictment is “on hold” until one more witness testifies Monday afternoon.

That’s about all that has come to light, as the relevant authorities are being quite closemouthed about this whole thing. Insider says that “a source with knowledge of the investigation” told them on Saturday night “there is one more witness.” The indictment is apparently not a certainty until this witness testifies.

But who is this witness? The Insider’s source wouldn’t say, and so all that we’re told is that “a separate source, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, told Insider that the witness is not Allen Weisselberg, Trump’s former CFO, who is serving a five-month sentence for admittedly masterminding a payroll tax-dodge scheme at the Trump Organization.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen, whose betrayal of his former client started this whole business about Trump having paid hush money to a porn star (which is what he might be arrested for, not any of the literally dozens of other crimes that Democrats have claimed he has committed over the last few years, up to and including trying to overthrow the government of the United States), “has told reporters he expected to be the grand jury’s final witness when he testified last Monday and Wednesday.” So whoever is slated to appear on Monday is a surprise witness.

Because it APPEARS that DeSantis is planning on stabbing Trump in the back by running against him when the campaign season actually starts. This SEEMS TO ME to be mostly based on the fact that President Trump went out of his way to help DeSantis when he was running for re-election in Florida,and then DeSantis is allowing rumors to fly around  (he supports them or he would be denying it) that HE has plans to run for President himself.

Or at least that is MY best guess.

I don't see DeSantis running for resident as a "stab in Trumps back."  If he runs it's because he thinks he'll win.  He's far away from making that connection, so I think he's just keeping his powder dry for whatever comes next as Governor.

I can go either way with that one,depending on what he says or does that day.

I am on record as stating I want to see him as Trump's VP running mate. I am not certain we haven't already fallen so far there is no recovery,thanks to all the illegal aliens the left let into the country to live like upper-middle class retirees for free at any age that there is no real hope for recovery at this point.

I do NOT see any Kissy-face Republican candidate BUT Trump having any chance at all of changing things. We NEED a rude bully to shake things up and expose what the left has been doing in the full light of day.

More of the same will end up turning American into a "USSR,Part 2".

Hell,I am not even sure it's not already too late to turn things around.

That only applies when you are in a defensive position. If you  are in a position that makes it possible to highlight the faults of your enemy,you would be a fool to ignore it and do nothing.

BTW,"doing nothing" seems to have become the traditional RINO approach  to politics. Look at Reagan,and compare him to the Bush Crime Family and the other RINO's in Public Office for proof of this.

I support DeSantis as my governor, but I have not vocalized that I want him to run against Trump.  Nope.  I'm being selfish as I like him as my governor. My only concern is that he will soon be term limited.
