We will see more and more businesses leave these inner cities. And, it will be the businesses fault that they leave.

Why will it be the businesses fault?  I agree that they will be blamed for it, and for the resulting retail "desert", but I disagree that they are in fact responsible for it - libs/progs and their policy choices are to blame.

I think my last sentence was misunderstood. I meant  the leaders in the cities will blame the businesses.

I don’t blame a business for leaving these areas. There’s no way in hell I would ever set up a business in one of America’s inner cities.

I wonder what took them so long. Of course the left will call Walmart racist and demand they stay open no matter how much they lose(and we ultimately pay for) because social justice or some such BS. The fact is all the blame for the loss of resources to law abiding citizens falls on the socialists in charge of Portland.

Portland also better get ready for the quintiple whammy of an economic onslaught that couldn't happen to a better set of socialist hell keepers:

1. Loss of store income taxes paid
2. Loss of sales taxes paid for goods purchased.
3. Loss of Property taxes as equtiable evaluation drops
4. Loss or depresssion of the usual 10-12 secondary retail cottage industries that grow and operate around Walmarts
5. Wages losses of those employees who worked at those Walmarts and cottage industries

The people who made the policies that are destroying the town, those with government jobs, will be the last to 'deal with it', and will not be affected until they can no longer loot the jurisdiction's credit for a paycheck, perqs, and benefits, including whatever pension/golden parachute they vote themselves. The same thing is going on virtually everywhere.
