U.S. Senator John Fetterman has been hospitalized overnight following lightheadedness he experienced at a Senate retreat Wednesday.

"Towards the end of the Senate Democratic retreat today, Senator John Fetterman began feeling lightheaded," a statement from his office read.

The office said Fetterman, D-Penn., is in "good spirits and talking with his staff and family."

I sincerely wonder whether Fetterlump ever will get better. Perhaps his condition during the campaign was as good as it will be.

Probably.  The American Stroke Association says that "the most rapid recovery usually occurs during the first three to four months after a stroke," but people can continue to make some progress depending on the quantity and quality of rehab efforts.  I'm sure the floor of the Senate is a great place for that.   **nononono*

The 164-year-old Senate chamber was not designed for wires and screens. Senators aren’t even allowed to use their phones when they’re inside. But to help with freshman Senator John Fetterman’s stroke recovery, the chamber just got a digital upgrade.

As Fetterman learns how to do his new job while struggling with lingering auditory processing issues resulting from the stroke, he’s relying on some extra tech. The new assistive technology installed in his workspaces requires some adjustment from colleagues in an institution known for its stagnancy. But in securing the devices that are helping him begin a new job during a very public recovery process, advocates say Fetterman is forging a path for people with disabilities and health challenges to make it in public office.

Probably the game plan all along.

Supposedly, he did absolutely no rehab following his stroke - too busy running for office. Not a very smart long-term plan.

... For months on end, some of us in the conservative commentariat begged and pleaded with Pennsylvanians and the national press to take Fetterman’s health issues seriously. After all, this was a man who had a major stroke just months prior to the campaign and was essentially unintelligible in the only debate he attended.

We were ignored. ...

As time progressed, it became clear he wasn’t getting any better either. In fact, by the time he did his first major interview, Fetterman was obviously getting worse. Yet, anyone who pointed out the reality of the situation was dismissed and accused of ableism.

On the eve of the election, I wrote an article once again warning Pennsylvanians about the mistake they were about to make. Everything I said turned out to be right.
Quote
Something is going on with his health that isn’t being made public, which is almost certainly why he refuses to release his actual medical records. Instead, he relied on a primary care doctor who is a big campaign donor to write him a letter that he’s “fit to be serve,” as Fetterman stated at the debate.

Strokes are not predictable. A lot of people die within a few years of having the type that Fetterman had. Far from a recovery being expected, it is completely possible that he will continue to deteriorate. Certainly, he’s not going to be well enough to actually do his job by January. Pennsylvanians must stop this farce before they end up saddled with Fetterman for six years. I say that because there is no chance his overly ambitious wife, who longs to be a political star, is going to let him resign. It’ll be a cluster, and as of right now, it’s avoidable if voters act.

You get what (and who) you vote for.

Pennsylvanians GOT "who they voted for".

If someone in Fetterman's condition could be elected there (as a dem-communist), how much chance is there that a Republican will win there again...?

Who could the dem-coms have run who would have been "worse" than Mr. Fetterman?
And he won anyway?
Let that sink in.

PA has tipped over to the blue side, from both voter ignorance and also as a result of The Party's increasingly-powerful "underground election apparatus". And with the dem-coms now in firm control of the state government there, that's not going to change any time soon.

Without the state's electoral votes, it's increasingly unlikely that a Republican can win the presidency in 2024 -- or afterwards.

Not Mr. Trump.
Not Mr. DeSantis.
(and other than them, who else ya got?)

Worse, any day now, they're going to get someone they didn't vote for, namely the lovely illegal immigrant Gisele Fetterman. You can bet she'll be appointed to finish out his term when he inevitably has to step down for health reasons.

I'm not sure about this @Fishrrman  Remember, the truth about Fetterman's condition was expertly hidden during the mail-in early voting that had been in full swing for weeks.  It wasn't until the debate on Oct 25th that people saw who they actually voted for.

Baloney. As I understand it, he had a life-threatening stroke, and then did absolutely no rehab because his illegal immigrant wife was so desperate to get him elected.

... The New York Times piece highlights Fetterman’s challenging transition to the hall of Congress with the outlet writing, “But his adjustment to serving in the Senate has been made vastly more difficult by the strains of his recovery, which left him with a physical impairment and serious mental health challenges that have rendered the transition extraordinarily challenging.”

“Aides and confidantes describe his introduction to the Senate as a difficult period, filled with unfamiliar duties that are taxing for someone still in recovery,” the Times wrote, listing, “meetings with constituents, attending caucus and committee meetings, appearing in public at White House events and at the State of the Union address, as well as making appearances in Pennsylvania.”

Most paralyzing for the Pennsylvania senator is a neurological condition that impairs his hearing with the Times reporting that Fetterman has said that at times it is like hearing the muffled voices of the parents from “Peanuts” when fellow lawmakers or constituents speak with him.  ...

He's still in the hospital.  Just like during the campaign, they're hiding his true condition.

Sen. John Fetterman remains in hospital, undergoing tests

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman, who had a stroke during his campaign last year, remained hospitalized and undergoing tests after feeling lightheaded, with tests so far negative for another stroke or seizure, his office said Thursday evening.

An MRI at George Washington University Hospital, along with other tests run by doctors, rule out a new stroke, Fetterman’s communications director Joe Calvello said in a statement Thursday evening.

Fetterman was being monitored with an electroencephalogram (EEG) — an instrument that measures brainwaves — for signs of a seizure, Calvello said.

“So far there are no signs of seizure, but he is still being monitored,” Calvello said.

Calvello gave no indication about when Fetterman might leave the hospital, but had said late Wednesday that Fetterman was “in good spirits and talking with his staff and family.”

Tests so far are negative, yet they keep testing because they know there's something seriously wrong with him. Heaven help us.

No kidding.
And the cover story is ridiculous.  I was in the hospital for less time after having a baby than he has been for "light headedness".

It won't be long.  The narrative is already forming:

John Fetterman, Recovering After Stroke, Labors to Adjust to Life in the Senate

https://news.yahoo.com/john-fetterman-recovering-stroke-labors-125118227.html

Quote
At John Fetterman’s desk in the Senate chamber, there is a newly installed monitor that rises or lowers, depending on whether he sits or stands, and provides closed captioning so he can follow the proceedings. At the center dais, a custom desk stand has been built to accommodate the same technology for when he takes his shifts presiding over the Senate. The sergeant-at-arms has arranged for live audio-to-text transcription for the committees on which Fetterman serves, and plans to expand the service to all Senate hearings.

Fetterman, 53, the 6-foot-8, tattooed and goateed Democrat from Pennsylvania who suffered a near-fatal stroke last May and went on to win one of the most competitive seats in November’s midterm elections, was never going to blend in seamlessly in the marbled corridors of Congress.

But his adjustment to serving in the Senate has been made vastly more difficult by the strains of his recovery, which left him with a physical impairment and serious mental health challenges that have rendered the transition extraordinarily challenging — even with the accommodations that have been made to help him adapt.

(snip)

Fetterman declined to be interviewed for this story. But aides and confidants describe his introduction to the Senate as a difficult period, filled with unfamiliar duties that are taxing for someone still in recovery: meetings with constituents, attending caucus and committee meetings, appearing in public at White House events and at the State of the Union address, as well as making appearances in Pennsylvania.

The most evident disability is a neurological condition that impairs his hearing. Fetterman has auditory processing issues, forcing him to rely primarily on a tablet to transcribe what is being said to him. The hearing issues are inconsistent; they often get worse when he is in a stressful or unfamiliar situation. When it’s bad, Fetterman has described it as trying to make out the muffled voice of the teacher in the “Peanuts” cartoon, whose words could never be deciphered.
