Firefighters Battle Large Fire at Egg Farm in Bozrah
Jan. 29, 2023
NBC Connecticut

Multiple fire crews are at the scene of a large fire at an egg farm in Bozrah on Saturday.

Firefighters said the fire was in a chicken coop at Hillandale Farms on Schwartz Road.  ...

It's unclear what may have started the fire.

The Department of Agriculture said it has been in touch with the leadership at Hillandale. At this time, the DOA is not responding, but is continuing to monitor the situation.

Smoke is the enemy, here, and will kill far more birds than the fire.

Maybe it is an 'artifact' of reporting, but it sure seems like a lot of food production facilities have caught fire in the last couple of years.

Forgot the originator but....

"There are No Such Things as Coincidences"

And that graphic is a good example.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

No confirmed reports of local churches, schools, and businesses having chicken dinner  benefits in the wake of the fire.  :tongue2:

We had a pulled pork competition at our church today after the service. The contestants call themselves "Holy Smokers."

Almost thinking it was FDR, but the modern version is Gibbs Rule #39 that is usually quoted.

I only believe in coincidences to the point where the probability of repeated ones being random is so small that they are near statistically impossible, like the list you posted.

Of course, politifact says it just isn't so.

Which makes me believe there might be something to it.

Eggs are $6.02 a dozen here now, guess they'll be headed to $10.
