Readers added context they thought people might want to know

The foreign minister of Germany did not and has no constitutional power to “declare war.” See Arts 65a and 115 of the Basic Law. gesetze-im-internet.de/englisch_gg/en…

If a foreign minster’s use of the phrase “at war” was a declaration of war, Russia would have declared war on “the West” a long time ago. newsweek.com/russia-already…
