President Biden and Family To Arrive On St. Croix Today For New Year’s Celebration

CHRISTIANSTED — President Joe Biden will arrive on St. Croix today with his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, the White House has confirmed. 

“I can confirm at this time, President Joe Biden is scheduled to be on St. Croix during the holiday season,” VIPD Communications Director Glen Dratte said.

The Bidens will arrive at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport today and spend the rest of the week with their family here including New Year’s Day, according to the White House.

To relax and step away from the political spotlight, Biden’s preferred vacation spot is a beachfront property along St. Croix’s East End Road. The last time he visited the island was as a civilian with his wife in 2019. He was spotted ringing in the new year at Point Udall.

During his time as vice president, Biden vacationed on St. Croix in 2014, 2015 and 2016, staying through the New Year holiday and attending mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Christiansted. ...

President Joe Biden plans to leave for a vacation in the Virgin Islands on Tuesday after the United States was blasted with record-cold temperatures and winter weather.

The president and his family leave Tuesday evening for St. Croix and plan to stay on the island for the rest of the week to celebrate New Year’s Day.

Meanwhile, about 50 people were killed across the United States as a bomb cyclone of Arctic air created record winter storms and freezing temperatures across most of the country. The city of Buffalo suffered a “once-in-a-generation” storm as 43 inches of snow fell over the weekend. The death toll in Buffalo reached 27 as of Tuesday morning.

The president phoned New York Governor Kathy Hochul after she personally visited Buffalo to witness the devastation from the storm.

I remember the Cruz affair quite well, I also remember how democrats and their media lap dogs hammered Reagan, Bush and Trump for their little vacations to their ranches or golf course which almost all were working vacations, but then they were conservative(okay one was nominally barely conservative). Brandon never takes a working vacation, I doubt he has an real knowledge of 'work', he is sent away to Delaware or elsewhere for the purpose of enhanced damage control and programming and the the democrats fourth branch of government never question or air a negative story about it.
