That is not our flag. I would thank the Ukrainian ambassador not to desecrate the USA flag.

Indeed!   :patriot:
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

As long as Joe has control of Americas money in conjunction with the democxrat party and they as usual get a thick slice of the Ukrainian billion dollar pie, (just like in the old days of Joe and Hunter) the unending flow to the Ukraine will not end until our economy crashes.

Anything Joe does has to be better than anything Trump did or does.

Well, @Fishrrman I also would like to know the answer to that question.

Or we could pretend that we're watching "What's My Line" and guess.

Zelensky’s Weapons Wish List Goes Mostly Unfulfilled on Trip to Washington

WASHINGTON — President Volodymyr Zelensky’s triumphant visit to Washington ended with promises of billions more in U.S. support for Ukraine, but not what he wanted most: American battle tanks, fighter jets and long-range precision missiles.

The United States has repeatedly said there are weapons it will not send to Ukraine to battle Russia’s invading forces. But as the last 10 months of war have shown, the limits of U.S. support have shifted in Ukraine’s favor, and Mr. Zelensky may yet get what he wants.

After his daring 10-hour dash to the nation’s capital on Wednesday, Mr. Zelensky left with nearly $2 billion in new arms and equipment — as well as a likely commitment from Congress for nearly $50 billion in additional aid next year.

So we're not giving this guy any serious weaponry even though we've given him over $100B. So where has the money gone?

The Republic is lost.

Big whoop.  You refuse to blame Ukraine for Ukrainian corruption.

Example, please.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

They're peas in a pod.

I don't see it.  It is no secret that the Biden family was deeply involved with Ukrainian corruption under Petro Poroshenko.  But their involvement ended in 2019.  Zelenskiy was elected as a reformer.  The only inroad for Biden's involvement in new corruption was Russia's invasion.  And there is nothing to indicate that Zelenskiy had anything to do with that.

Corrupt leaders don't stick around when their capitals are under attack.  They move as much money as they can and retire on some resort beach somewhere.  Against overwhelming odds, Zelenskiy has stood fast, rallying a nation against the Russian invader.  And on that count alone, he has earned my respect.

Playing devil's advocate here, let's say he is corrupt.  Do you really think he set up this whole war just so he could do 'business' with Biden?  He could have easily diverted a few billion into some Caymans bank and lived a life of luxury anywhere in the world.  But instead, he remains in Ukraine, visiting troops on the front line.  His focus for the last nine months has been to win a war.  It's not his fault that the US regime is more interested in exploiting the crisis to spread billions of dollars over Europe while Ukraine goes wanting for anti-aircraft defenses and longer range artillery and missiles.

Why  are people being imported illegally and set up in ritzy hotels in the most expensive metro areas instead of $250/week kitchenette places further out? When that money gets cut off, they'll go back to rooting through the garbage like in the old country and amplify the images you see there. Millions of them in just two years.

I'd rather help the Ukrainians fight the Russians there.
But this administration is is busy importing this mess here and stepping over American Citizens to do it. Granted, among the homeless, drugs are rampant and you can't force someone to quit--they gotta want to--and most won't once they get a spike in their arm.
Some are there by choice, simply unable to cope with the ever expanding rules and BS in the workplace (DEI?, etc.) and elsewhere in daily life.
There is a simpler, more primal attraction to living off grid, dealing in cash, and not having to maintain appearances. I'd even bet there are those who got completely under water doing just that (maintaining appearances, placating the HOA, etc.), and lost it all.
Any more say the wrong thing the wrong way to the wrong person, and HR will have you escorted out by the end of the day. There IS no free speech.

Now, we don't have much of a homeless problem here, (40 to 50 below zero wind chills this week), HR isn't as pissy as it is in the cities, and most of us just keep our mouths shut, anyway. Besides, anyone who works in the Oil Patch knows it can all come to a stop tomorrow, so eff appearances, you try to set yourself up so you can survive the next bust, and hardly anyone wears a suit to work anyway. More like FR Carhardts, and they're just as expensive, anyway.

What you are seeing is much more common in warmer climates.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

The post that the photo addressed has since been deleted.  Also, Anthony Blinken and Samantha Power have received far more of that $100 billion than has Zelenskiy.

I don’t understand how the concept of America first can escape anyone calling themselves American.  Silly me, I thought it would be in our DNA: take care of Americans first.  It’s our money, it’s “we the people.”  Sure, we should  be good neighbors, but fix America first before blowing a hole in the treasury.

My position is clear. No to foreign entanglements, no to a dangerous proxy war, and no to this White House and any congressman or senator giving aid or cover to it.
