U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson lowered the boom on “arrogant” Senate GOP leadership as a sufficient number of Republican senators are set to deliver a major pre-Christmas victory to President Joe Biden with the imminent passage of the massive $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill.
The 4,100+ page package which will keep the federal government funded through next September is stuffed with special interest cash completely unrelated to preventing a shutdown, a final expensive giveaway before Democrats and their spendthrift leader Nancy Pelosi cede control over the House of Representatives – and the power over the purse strings – to the opposition party next month.
The Wisconsin Republican who feels that his fellow GOP senators aren’t allowing House Minority Leader and likely next Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy to exercise his leverage to cut out wasteful spending appeared on Fox Business on Wednesday where he discussed the bill with host Larry Kudlow.
