Father of accused Illinois gunman faces charges in July 4 parade mass shooting
By Steve Gorman

Dec 16 (Reuters) - An Illinois prosecutor has filed felony charges against the father of the man accused of opening fire on a crowd watching a July Fourth parade in Chicago's Highland Park suburb five months ago, killing seven people and injuring dozens.

The father, Robert Crimo Jr., turned himself in to police on Friday under an arrest warrant charging him with seven counts of reckless conduct related to helping his son to obtain a state firearms license in 2019.

Lake County State's Attorney Eric Rinehart said the elder Crimo was criminally reckless when he sponsored his son's application for a firearm owner identification (FOID) card, despite knowing his son was unfit to own a gun.

"He knew what he knew and he signed the form anyway," Rinehart told a news conference. "This was criminally reckless and a contributing cause to the bodily harm suffered by victims on July Fourth."

A grand jury has indicted the father of the man accused of killing seven people at the July 4 parade shooting in Highland Park, Illinois.

Robert Crimo Jr. was indicted Wednesday on seven counts of reckless conduct in connection with his sponsorship of his son's application for a gun license in December 2019, about eight months after the son had attempted suicide by machete, per CBS News.

A family member claimed the young man also threatened to "kill everyone" in September 2019, three months before he applied for a Firearm Owner's Identification card. Robert Crimo III had denied to authorities that he wanted to harm himself or others, per WLS. ...

Was the government bureaucrat who issued the license also indicted?
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

So was the government bureaucrat a mind reader? Was he aware that perjury was being committed like the was?
