HHS approves Washington plan to give health care to illegals on 'health equity' grounds

The scheme would require a rollback in provisions outlined in the Affordable Care Act, which normally excludes non-citizens from receiving ACA benefits.

The Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of the Treasury on Tuesday approved a proposal from the state of Washington to provide illegal migrants with health insurance.

"Washington has requested a waiver in order to expand access to qualified health plans, stand-alone qualified dental plans, and a state affordability program to Washington residents regardless of immigration status," a joint statement from the two federal agencies read. "The waiver will help Washington work towards its goals of improving health equity and reducing racial disparities by expanding access to coverage for the uninsured population through the state Exchange, all the while not increasing costs for those currently enrolled."

This is bullcrap, the illegals have been given free healthcare on the taxpayers dime for as long as I can remember but now they want to make it official. I don't care what the democrats, socialist apologists, bleeding hearts have said about illegals not getting government aid and healthcare because they have for decades, and that healthcare is very often better than Americans who have to actually pay for their own receive.

Once again, paying for something for someone else we, ourselves, can barely (if at all) afford for ourselves, all in the name of "Equity".

Want equity? Get your asses out there and work a 12 hour day in all sorts of weather conditions, often far from home, and buy what you can afford out of your pay. Then they'll have "equity".
