I'm not condemning conservatism.
Is this your post?
At some point @Hoodat ardent conservatives are going to wake up to the fact that they are viewed as useless and have been replaced with Patriots.
I'm assessing the crop of post-Reagan self-identifying conservative leaders to be useless losers -----
Ah, so the goalposts have been moved. So now it's not 'Conservatives', but "
self-identifying conservative leaders". Speaking of "self-identifying conservative leaders", that certainly does not include Trump since he doesn't ever self-identify as a Conservative, no matter how much his supporters insist he is one.
----- unable to win because they fold to any headwind, lost the government and adjunct agencies to socialists on their watch, and have yet to convince the American people they're capable of more than talk and worthy of their vote.
So basically, your concern has nothing at all to do with a philosophy of running the country successfully, but instead centers on winning elections. Democrats think the same way.
One proven exception: Rand Paul.
He was pointed out earlier, which you chose to ignore. So tell me what it is about Rand Paul that you consider to be exceptional in regards to Conservative governance?
As for Trump ----- I think he accomplished more in four years, vis-a-vis; global trade, American economic security, secure borders, defunding abortion, the federal bench, stopping globalist creep, rebuilding our prestige than RR accomplished in eight. ------
At a cost of $2 trillion in new debt per year over four years. Printing up $8 trillion in new money to fund government is not my idea of economic security. And $2 billion to Planned Parenthood is not my idea of defunding abortion.
