On December 2, 2022, PAC #141 of the Miami Police Training Center graduated. My nephew Kenneth Gutierrez earned THREE awards that day for physical fitness, top gun, and selfless service to others as voted by the rest of his class. In a few days he will be sworn in to the Hialeah Police Department under the guidance of Chief George Fuente.Great accomplishments but there was one other recruit who also amazed me since the day after he graduated from the Miami Police Academy he was to celebrate his 47th birthday. Also of interest is his son is an actor on an HBO show so perhaps one day he could portray his dad in a show about a police officer who began his career after having a number of years under his belt.
