Great Reset: Biden Energy Advisor Admits Administration “Phasing Out Use Of Oil”
by Kelen McBreen
November 30th 2022, 1:23 pm
Massive energy transition, which will be extremely rough on global economies, now publicly announced and celebrated

A top Biden administration energy advisor named Amos Hochstein made an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” Wednesday to tell the American people oil will soon be intentionally phased out.

CNBC host Joe Kernan pressed Hochstein for a timeline on how long oil producers will be allowed to drill domestically as Joe Biden continues to say the U.S. is going “to end drilling.”

“What does [Biden] mean we’re going to ‘end drilling?’” he asked.

Failing to provide a timetable, the Biden advisor said, “Eventually we are – we’re going to be phasing out the use of oil.”

Maybe in 100 or 150 years, but not until then.

I'm definitely not celebrating; not in the least.

"Massive energy transition, which will be extremely rough on global economies, now publicly announced and celebrated."
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

  • I don't believe in Trump anymore, he's an illusion
Define phase out,do they mean just civilian ICE vehicles or everything because I would love to see how they’re going to do it without revolt by the serfs.

If there is no gas/oil available what will the 'serfs' do?  They will make it so that they only transportation is EV.  Auto companies will be mandated to only produce EV., just like they have been mandated to produce vehicles with better gas mileage and low emissions.

I'm waiting for comments from Exxon and others.  Some of the auto manufacturers are already starting to phase out vehicles and gearing up to strictly producing EV.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.

The grid cannot handle EVs. Not now, and likely not in 5 years.

In five years, the tires on present vehicles will have mostly either worn out or dry rotted, and without oil, they're not going to be replaced. Nor are any of the plastic parts, nor the insulation on the wiring, and thousands of other uses/things that come from oil.

So, unless these jackasses are ready to start whaling again to grease the wagon axles, I'd suggest they rethink their nonsense.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

These idiots seem to believe the only use of oil is as gasoline for cars and trucks.

While crude oil is predominantly known for producing fuel oil and gasoline, the useful material can also be converted to a variety of products that we use in our everyday life. As super-heated crude oil cools in a distillation column, the gases condense into liquids and solids depending on which area of the column it cools in (the crude oil is cooler at the top and hotter on the bottom).

Distilling crude oil produces 19 gallons of gasoline per 42 gallon barrel of crude oil, at which point it’s mixed with additives like fuel injector cleaner and ethanol before you pump it into your tank. Benzene is also distilled from crude oil, and the benzene then creates phenol, which is the basis of many plastics and pharmaceuticals such as hair dye, sunscreen, and aspirin.

Refinery gases, including propene, propane, and butane, help fuel your grill and create your Tupperware. Naptha is usually distilled further into two streams; heavy naptha is crucial for the production of thermoplastics (in materials like Teflon, vinyl, and nylon) and thermoset plastics (in epoxy resin, volcanized rubber, and inflatable rafts). Light naptha is high in paraffin, so it’s used to make the paraffin wax in crayons and candles.

Kerosene, which ignites at higher temperatures than gasoline, is used as fuel for both camping stoves and jets. Lubricating oils create mineral oils such as base oils that are used for lubrication in US manufacturing plants and petroleum jelly that’s the base for many cosmetics. Diesel, in addition to being used for diesel fuel, is also used for home heating, and the fuel oil that remains after high grade fuels have been distilled off (or residual fuel oil) is used to fuel ships and power plants. The final residue that’s created at the lower levels and highest temperatures of the distillation chamber produces asphalt, used for road construction and roofing.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
The question that needs to be publicly asked, that is not being asked, is if this proposed new green energy scheme will provide the terawatts of energy that will keep the US economy running at its current level, with a stable, dependable, and accessible power grid?

And if so, what are the details? Make them prove that they aren't just going to cut out everything existing and replace it at a much lower level of generation in some kind of Great Reset scam.

Good luck getting rid of fossil fuels, especially in winter.
