Legal Insurrection by Mary Chastain 11/28/2022

At the border, the Air Marshals have been tasked with “Hospital Watch, Transportation, Law Enforcement Searches, Welfare Checks, and Entry Control.”

Sonia Labosco, the executive director of the Air Marshal National council, warned President Joe Biden’s administration that air travel is “becoming less safe” since he is sending them to the border.

The Air Marshals have been tasked with “Hospital Watch, Transportation, Law Enforcement Searches, Welfare Checks, and Entry Control.”

Labosco wants Biden to stop sending Air Marshals to the border, especially since air travel will become busier due to the holidays.

“We have been decimated. We have been depleted. We’re on less than 1% of flights. These ground-based duties that they’re pulling us out of the sky to go to the border are just demolishing our chances at stopping another 9/11.”

Labosco said Americans will suffer because many believe they’re safe in the presence of a trained air marshal, but “they’re just simply not.”

The border is out of control. Migrant encounters grow each month, consistently setting new records. Migrants are abandoning dogs at the border.

Human trafficking. Drug trafficking, especially with fentanyl.

What a mess.

Air Marshals Warn—Deployment to Border Leaves Skies Vulnerable

By Bob Hoge | 1:45 AM on November 29, 2022

Executive director of the Air Marshal National Council Sonia Labosco is sounding the alarm: the Biden administration is making air travel less safe and potentially allowing another disaster like 9/11 by taking air marshals off planes and deploying them to the southern border. She appeared on Fox and Friends Monday and said that force levels have been dangerously diminished:

The message is clearly, let’s stop another 9/11. We are extremely concerned. There have been numerous incidents within the last two weeks, a level 4 threat, which means someone tried to breach a cockpit two days ago on a Southwest flight. So, the message is, sir [President Biden], please replace the air marshals on the border, stop taking them out of the skies, and let us do the job that we were trained to do…

We have been decimated. We have been depleted. We’re on less than 1% of flights. These ground-based duties that they’re pulling us out of the sky to go to the border are just demolishing our chances at stopping another 9/11.

During normal operations, marshals are on board more than 5 percent of all flights, she added.

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

Air marshals facing mandatory border deployment plan ‘mutiny’ on Biden admin leaving flights unguarded: report
Deploying air marshals to border leaves US 'vulnerable to attack' during holiday travel season, official claims

By Danielle Wallace | Fox News

U.S. air marshals are reportedly staging a "mutiny" on the Biden administration over its immigration policies, as they plan to refuse mandatory deployment orders to the southern border and, therefore, face possible termination.

Though refusing the order puts them at risk of termination, dozens of air marshals argue that abandoning their current assignments will leave American fliers more vulnerable to threats over the busy holiday travel season.

Amid an influx of illegal immigrants held in custody, the Federal Air Marshal Service asked for volunteers to deploy to the U.S.-Mexico border for 30 days in mid-2021. But earlier this month, the Biden administration announced air marshals, considered federal law enforcement agents within the Transportation Security Administration, would face mandatory deployments as the shortage of Border Patrol agents worsens.

In an interview with the Washington Examiner, David Londo, president of the Air Marshal National Council, said, "Rank and file air marshals are going to refuse to deploy and risk termination," as the Biden administration plan would strip 99% of commercial airline flights from federal protection.

Air Marshals Plan to Fight DHS Order to Work at Southern Border
By Charlie McCarthy    |   Wednesday, 30 November 2022 03:24 PM EST

U.S. air marshals are planning to rebel over a Biden administration plan that would reassign them to the southern border, the Washington Examiner reported.

Dozens of marshals have agreed to refuse an order that would have them driving, feeding and caring for migrants, the Examiner reported Wednesday.

The administration's order, to compensate for a shortage of Border Patrol agents, would remove federal protection from 99% of commercial flights during the holiday season, the busiest time of the year for air travel. ... More at Newsmax

Enough, already, with baseless allegations of insurrection.

Air marshal group accuses rival council of 'insurrection' for boycotting Biden border deployment
by Anna Giaritelli, Homeland Security Reporter |

The Air Marshal Association slammed federal law enforcement agents who plan to refuse orders to deploy to the U.S.-Mexico border, accusing them of promoting an "insurrection" and calling for them to be "cut from government like a cancer."

"It is unfortunate that some Federal Air Marshals would resort to incendiary, partisan, and insurrectionist rhetoric to avoid being deployed to an undesirable assignment," the Air Marshal Association said in a statement issued following the Washington Examiner's report on the planned boycott by dozens of Air Marshal National Council members.

The AMA, the largest labor organization for federal air marshals, went on to question the legitimacy of AMNC indirectly and said any unhappy air marshals should be removed from their government jobs.

"Fraudulent Air Marshal groups have formed that are espousing ‘mutiny,’ and advising [federal air marshals] to disobey orders to deploy to the border. These groups, and the individual agents that make them up, must be cut from government like a cancer," the AMA wrote.  ...

They're air marshals. They should be in airplanes, not at the Rio Grande. Looks like the administration-slurping AMA needs to take a chill pill - and not hint at violence against their coworkers.
