McCarthy Has a Reading Planned for the House on Jan. 3, 2023 - 'Hasn't Been Done in Years'

Kevin McCarthy already has plans for Jan. 3, the first day of the 118th congressional session, as Republicans regain control of the House of Representatives.

The current House minority leader said the entirety of the United States Constitution will be read on the first day of the new Congress.

McCarthy revealed in a Friday tweet that House members will read the document into the congressional record.

The California congressman added that this “hasn’t been done in years.”

He's pulling out all the stops to try and get enough votes to be elected Speaker.  Problem is that everybody knows what a double-talking weasel he really is.

I remember when Mark Levin called McCarthy out several years ago for calling around California talk radio stations trying to get Mark's show pulled off the air because Mark was after him for some hatchet work inside the caucus he had done at Boehner's behest.

I have no doubt that he'll become Speaker.  So far Scott is the only one who has challenged him and he was shut down.  So, if not McCarthy, then who?

Scott is in the Senate and challenged McConnell.  McCarthy is in the House, and Scalise would be marginally better, but Jim Jordan or Scott Perry would be awesome!
