Idaho murders: Father of slain victim says she had 'big open wounds,' calls police 'cowards'
Four weeks have passed since the stunning quadruple homicide, and Moscow, Idaho, police have yet to name a suspect
By Rebecca Rosenberg | Fox News

EXCLUSIVE: The father of slain University of Idaho student Kaylee Goncalves told Fox News Digital that the victims had "big open gouges" that were clearly the work of a "sadistic male" and called police "cowards" for not sharing more with the public.

Steven Goncalves said he asked the coroner, Cathy Mabbutt, how many times the victims were stabbed.

"She says, sir, I don't think stabs is the right word, it was like tears, like this was a strong weapon, not like a stab," he told Fox News Digital Sunday.

"She said these were big open gouges. She said it was quick. These weren't something where you were going to be able to call 911. They were not going to slowly bleed out," he said. ...

Idaho murders: Cops take hours of video from gas station after clerk spots white car on night of stabbings
Four University of Idaho students were attacked and killed in their sleep last month
By Michael Ruiz | Fox News

MOSCOW, Idaho – EXCLUSIVE: Detectives collected eight hours of surveillance video Tuesday morning from a gas station in Moscow where a clerk saw a white sedan passing by at 3:45 a.m. on the night of the unsolved stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students, according store workers.

An overnight assistant manager told Fox News Digital that she's been reviewing the tapes a little bit at a time over the past few days, looking for clues in her downtime on the graveyard shift. She said she was not working on the night of the murders.

Monday night, she said, she reached the 3 o'clock hour and spotted the car. She said she took a picture of the screen and sent it to an email address police set up to receive tips. ...

(these were big open gouges.)  Might have been attacked with a gutting hook instead of a 'Rambo' knife.

Scream’ picked up by police bodycam night of Idaho murders: report
By Dana Kennedy

A police officer’s bodycam picked up a high-pitched sound that could have been a scream on the night four University of Idaho college students were slaughtered in their beds.

The sound was recorded at 3:12 am on Nov. 13, by a Moscow, Idaho cop responding to an incident unrelated to the murders but also near the university campus, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.

The sound was heard around the time the students were killed, and while some think it was a scream, others speculated it could also be the squeal of car tires pulling away.

So far, the police have not made much if any progress, at least publicly, in solving the savage deaths of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin in the three-story home in the college town. The four were members of the university’s Greek system and all were friends. Two students on the first floor were left unscathed. ...

The Student Murders in Idaho Highlight the Unimpressive Police Record on Violent Crime
crime

12/07/2022Ryan McMaken
Listen to the Audio Mises Wire version of this article.
It's been three weeks since four students at the University of Idaho were stabbed to death at a home in Moscow, Idaho, and law enforcement officers say they have no suspect. In the early hours of November 13, three women and one man were murdered in an off-campus home where two other roommates were also sleeping. Yet, somehow the killer or killers managed to escape the premises without being seen or even waking the other roommates.

The small local police department in the city of approximately 25,000 people now reports it is being assisted by 48 FBI investigators plus 13 investigators from the state police. Yet, in spite of all this extra spending and staffing, the police department has reported no breakthroughs in the investigation.

The investigation has also been marred by alarmingly incoherent attempts to address public safety in the community following the homicides. Immediately after the homicide took place, for instance, police spokesmen confidently claimed the public was not at risk, even though the killer or killers were at large. Perhaps in an effort to make themselves seem competent, police claimed they were sure the victims were specifically "targeted" and the murderer was—for some reason—absolutely no threat to others. Only a day later, however, the police admitted they don't know if the victims were specifically targeted or if the crime was somehow a random act. Weeks later, the police still don't know, and more skeptical students have been taking steps to arm themselves and secure their homes from intruders. Fear runs so high that the University of Idaho campus is reportedly "half empty."

The parent of one victim has noted "we're angry" about law enforcement's lack of progress. The parent of another victim has turned to a private investigator.

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

Idaho student murders: Video appears to show victim talking about ‘Adam’ shortly before death

A newly uncovered video might provide fresh clues into the murder of four University of Idaho students.

The surveillance video, provided to Fox News by a Facebook group scrutinizing the murder, appears to show two of the victims walking in downtown Moscow, Idaho, with an unidentified man shortly before the murders, the outlet reported. One of the two can be heard talking about a man they call "Adam."

"Maddie, what did you say to Adam?" one of the women asks.

"Like, I told Adam everything," the other answers.

The man in the footage appears to be the same man spotted with the two by a food truck — their last stop before returning home, where they were murdered along with two others. Police have said previously that the man isn't a suspect. ...
