Why would they care? No one from a Politburo Family is going to do without ANYTHING,and all those serfs dying of exposure and starvation just means fewer people to feed,clothe,and house.

ALL of this means that when the dust settles, there will be fewer slaves to supervise,house,clothe,and feed,and this in turn means MORE money and comfort for the masters in leadership positions.
