China’s Lockdowns: Even Crazier

Evidently those Chinese Flu Manchu lockdowns are even crazier than we thought:

In Hunan, Chinese authorties have built literally hundreds of temporary quarantine facilities on roads “as far as the eye can see.”

•  The Uighurs in Xinjiang (remember them?) have been under continuous lockdown since August 13th.

•  In Xining City in Qinghai province (next to Tibet), some people have been locked down in a wet market for over 40 days.

No matter how crazy China seems to get under Xi Jinping, it shows the amazing ability to always get crazier…

Trying to figure out China's endgame here. They've been locking down actual workers that make things, and in turn make them money.

Given the Communist greed for money that mystifies me.
The Republic is lost.

It's only worth something if you can sell it. Between supply chains, inflation, and worldwide recession, maybe sales aren't so good, and this way, they don't have to shell out the wages, either.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I guess they got plenty of people to replace them.

Makes you wonder whether they are experimenting with locking their people down to survive some future "accidental" lab leak.

But for Twitter, are there any news reports of the protests in China over lockdowns?

BREAKING: In Wuhan the anti-lockdown protesters are tearing down barricades shouting “It started in Wuhan and it ends in Wuhan!”

Let's hope the 87,000 people detained are all those new IRS agents.

Protests Spread in China as People Demand 'Freedom,' Call for Xi and CCP to 'Step Down'
Nick Arama

Protests have been spreading across China against their zero-COVID policy, especially in the wake of a deadly apartment fire in Urumqi that resulted in ten people being killed. People blame the government’s COVID policies for hampering the ability to help save the people in the fire and they’ve had enough. It’s gotten so bad that officials in Urumqi said they would begin phasing out COVID restrictions in some areas.

Where is Joe Biden’s condemnation for China’s vile treatment of its citizens as they fight for freedom? Where are the errant shouts and the banging on the podium for the human rights abuses under Xi?

Very interesting video. I watched the whole thing. The thing I do not understand about these protests, or the protests in Iran, is what is the end game for the protestors?  I frankly do not see one that does not end badly for them.

To understand why the lockdowns became so severe in China in the last few weeks, you have to know the context. Xi made lockdowns a show of support for himself as undisputed leader before the October CCP congress

Local cadres outdid one another to crackdown in displays of fealty
