Inside GOP, calls grow for party chair to resign in wake of midterms

Republican officials want Ronna McDaniel to step down after multiple disappointing elections.

Aaron Kliegman  |  November 11, 2022 - 11:48pm

growing number of Republican Party officials are frustrated with GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel following Tuesday's midterm elections and want her to resign, according to Republican sources familiar with the situation.

"People are upset and want to replace Ronna," said one veteran Republican National Committee official. "They're calling for her resignation but not publicly. [RNC] members are calling for accountability as they should."

The official noted that, even before the 2022 midterms, Democrats gained control of the House in 2018 and then did the same in 2020 for both the White House and the Senate — including a runoff election in Georgia. McDaniel has been chairing the RNC since 2017.

Leading into Election Day this week, polling had indicated for months that Republicans would enjoy a landslide, red wave victory. However, Republican hopes for such a victory faded Tuesday night as Democrats performed better in House races than expected and won some key Senate and gubernatorial seats considered vulnerable.  .  .  .

Remind me again who it was that gave us McDaniel right after usurping the power of State GOP officials to vote the Chairman out.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-

The number of times the party leaders can sabotage and fail the party is an indicator of the longevity being and indication of the lack of intelligence in demanding accountability, or betrayal.  Failure of Republican leaders to lead has been excessively obvious.  Democrats laugh at Republicans and speak of them with contempt, as so well Republican leaders deserve it.

Why morons kept saying there was going to be a red wave is beyond me. You are not going to stop DCP sheeple from voting for DCP disciples. Policies don't matter. The only thing that matter is the (D) behind a candidates name. That braindead idiot Fetterman getting elected is proof of that. DCP sheeple in Pennsylvania are so stupid they elected a dead guy into office.

It was so damn difficult to see this coming yah know.  Like right after Biden was elected tp {resident, it was clearly pointed out that if election fraud was not dealt with, the same election fraud was certain to happen again, like it just did.  Heres another big shocker for fools AND DOLTS, yah you know who you are, if election fraud isn't addressed and dealt with this time either.  If Joe can manage to live to the next election, he will win re-election then too!  and the reliable denial fools will get their way in that coming election too!  Won't you?
Damn fools are easily confused, but then they are nearly always confused when it matters.
