House Judiciary Democrats renewed their push for an “assault weapons” ban Tuesday, exactly two weeks before the midterm elections.

House Judiciary Democrats used a tweet to condemn those firearms they describe as “high powered assault weapons.”

The liberal BS made up term "gun violence" is a way the DCP disciples use to blame the tools use to create violence instead of the criminals themselves. It's also a way the DCP uses to try and confiscate guns to make their takeover of the citizens easier. It's a proven technique throughout history.

The weapons on their list are pretty scarce in the list of weapons used in homicides, compared to many others. Which means if they are successful in resurrecting the AWB nonsense of the '90s (which was also ineffectual), the lack of difference in murder rates might spur them to take action against other firearms.

When you get right down to it, the problem the big cities are having is a result, not of guns, but catch-and-release prosecutors who let violent criminals loose to ply their trade.
